Not satisfied. Dr. has 0 bedside manner with children. My daughter is 5 & he spoke to her as if she was 1/2 way grown. She was crying after she had something removed which he himself said was a normal reaction & he was trying to explain something to her. She was shaking her head no bc she was genuinely scared after being unexpectedly hurt, she’s 5. He spoke to her in the firmest manner like she was overreacting & not listening on purpose. I personally wouldn’t have chosen this office, but it was referred by the ER & we had to get her in asap. Would definitely not recommend. Receptionist is nice, which is where the 2 stars came from, but printed the wrong kid’s name on her school excuse. Over all not a great experience. Office is drab & dreary, not at all welcoming. Poor office for children.
250.00!!! Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service!!! No compassion. Extremely passive aggressive. Rude and condescending. Their front desk receptionist Felicia changed our appointment and when we arrived she sent us to a totally different building as my five year old daughter had a possible fracture. Only for us to return back to the building, actually having an appointment. This company’s corporate appointment line informed us that Felicia had in fact changed our appointment. Instead of Felicia looking up our information which she never did from the time we walked in the building after I explained to her we had imaging done and we were here for a second opinion! when we first entered the building. She shunned us off and sent us aimlessly to walk to another building. Explaining we had no appointment WITHOUT EVER LOOKING! Once we finally returned, after speaking with the appointment line! finding out our appointment had been changed BY FELICIA! Instead of Felicia apologizing and seeing what the next availability was. She argued her point of not changing the appointment, THEIR APPOINTMENT LINE HAD CONFIRMED! With Felicia listening! once she heard the customer service rep! She went and talked to the staff to argue her case! To gain the staff on her side! So everything from that point was handled with hostility and attitude! Not addressing me by name! Still no compassion for the child they were supposed to be seeing! A 5 YEAR OLD! Not only is our family leaving this review! Caution to NEVER ATTEND THIS DOCTORS OFFICE! We WILL BE REPORTING to the BBB And writing a letter to corporate. Had their front desk receptionist done her job as easily as the corporate appointment line! They simply changed our appointment back to the original day as when they called us to set it up things would have worked out fine! Instead she insisted on arguing with a customer! Beware when you have a receptionist as the first face you see in your business. Make sure she is customer friendly! And that they understand the customer is always right even when THEY feel they’re wrong! Working in the medical industry ESPECIALLY with children holds a certain level of compassion! $250.00 paid up front and the service was detestable!
We came here after my daughter had gone to an urgent care and we found out she had a double buckle fracture. The Dr was only supposed to look at the x-rays as a second opinion. We then found out after we were being charged over $1000 for this second opinion as they claim "it's not a second opinion because the first opinion didn't come from a specialist". The Dr at this office didn't even take off her brace to palpate her wrist. He only agreed with the x-ray. He was not even with us for 5 min after waiting 2 hours. I kept trying to call for answers after I got a notice from insurance. No one could answer my questions until my fourth time calling. I asked to get a call from a supervisor because this substantial charge was supposed to cover a follow up visit. No one told us this and the second visit had to be done within 90 days. I'm never dealing with this office again and will only go to Children's offices from now on.
Backstory I’m 7 months pregnant and I’ve been having the worst pain ever in my right hand so I went to an urgent care near me. Ended up booking my appointment here after calling 10 different orthopedics. The pain in my hand is unbearable like I can’t pick up anything etc. Had an appt and the day of when I’m on the way they called and said I have to have an x ray cd . So I called the urgent care they don’t have a way to scan the X-rays . So I called them back to let them know there was no way for me to get the cds. They are very unprofessional they could’ve at least let me know when I booked my appointment or even the day before. Will not be coming here or recommending them to anyone..
Dr Pendelton is great for an adult who wants in and out and doesn't care about bedside manner. Kids/Teens or sensitive aldults find the lack of friendliness or personal care harsh. Otherwise he knows what he is doing and gets the job done. For me and my daughter, we rate this at 2 stars.
Visited for my son's knee pain. They got me in quickly and staff was great. They put him in a knee brace. However, I just received a $900 bill for the brace. My son was advised to wear it for a few days. The day of the visit, I asked them what the cost was and they said they didn't remember. In the future the staff should know the prices braces and discuss this with patients before sending them home.
Dr. Oswald and his nurse were great with my 2 year old son!!! I almost left without seeing the Dr because FELICIA, the receptionist was extremely RUDE. I’m never one to complain or let people affect my mood but her down right mean looks that she gave me for taking a Kleenex for my son from desk was completely unnecessary.
This was the most amazing experience ever! The staff left a lasting and amazing first impression! Everything was professional and pleasant from the pre screen phone call, our first onsite greeting, and each staff member we encountered. I wish all doctor and hospital visits were this pleasant. Parking was awful and receptionist has absolutely no customer service. I’ve been here 3 times and she’s made sure to make me aware that I’ve inconvenienced her each time and isn’t friendly at all. Everyone else in the practice have been a dream though. The receptionist sort of ruins it though, since that’s the first and last person you deal with at your visit.
Very extensive paperwork most of which had nothing to do with orthopedics. Be prepared to stay a minimum of 2-3 hours. New patient paperwork takes an additional 20-30 minutes and repeats exact same questions multiple times. Get to your appointment early. Appointments are double booked. Long wait times with limited staff interactions.
