Stopped at ' for a quick lunch. I ordered the sweet n sour chicken combination with fried rice and egg roll. The food was unremarkable and I finished maybe ⅔ of my meal cause I was really hungry. I will say the service was decent though.
I loved it. I got the Governor's Chicken, hot and spicy. It was described as General Tso chicken but it was much, much sweeter. Great flavor, sweet, hot and spicy. A bit pricey for dinner and I'm not sure if there's a lunch special. Definitely worth a stop. Next time I'm ordering the Governor's Shrimp!
I love eating here and I took my husband to eat dinner there the other day and ordered the sweet-and-sour chicken and he had to go back two days later! It's a family-owned restaurant that offer excellent customer service social distancing guidelines, food is always good and hot. The restaurant and rest rooms are very clean. This restaurant is located in a mall type area and I really love going here because I have three other stores that are my favorites within walking distance. There's an Aldi grocery store, Savers Thrift Store and drugstore located in the same area and on the other side of the street within walking distance is a Cleveland Metropark. There's been times when I wanted to relax I eat my take out across the street and chill out on a bench looking at beautiful Lake Erie.
We went here New Year's Day 2021..good riddance 2020... Anyway, Chin's has been around since I was young and this was the first time. We walked in and were immediately made to feel at home. Even while taking a phone order the wondeful lady treated us like family...better even. We planned to take out but no one was there so we sat. Side note. Others saw and stayed too and the male owner confided that it was not easy to do sit down and take out with just the two up front and a cook. He was not whining just stating and it was obvious they were getting overwhelmed. The five stars are for them. The food was mostly great but service was unbelievable. We had Chow Har Kew which was veggies and shrimp in a white sauce including fried rice and a bowl of wonton soup. The other was Subgum Wonton a dish of basically the same with a brown gravy. Both were great. The wontons on the Subgum were fried and I did not know that..they were a tad over done and tough as was the egg roll. That is the only negative. We even got a large wonton soup to go and a side egg foo young that you could tell was made just before getting to the table. The food quantity was impressive. In fact with all we got as well as to go and side it was less tham $40. And look at the photo to see one box of what we brought home. We are going back.
Literally the best food I've ever eaten- the chef does phenomenal work making the food, puts a lot of heart into it and it's so very fresh! The staff is absolutely wonderful, they're super nice people all around! I go here once every week at the LEAST, and will continue to do so for years to come. More often than not, the people who leave bad reviews just like to complain about nothing in hopes of getting a refund or free food. The owners are very no-nonsense when it comes to people like that, and I respect the heck out of them for it
Ate here with some family while visiting from out of town. Was happily surprised with quality of our entries while dining in. We were seated quickly and helped by the nicest staff I've seen in a while. Soup orders came right out. Entries followed as soon as we were done. My pork/beef/chicken/shrimp with vegetables was terrific. The shrimp with lobster a companion ordered was also good. All highly recommended!
i am a regular at chins pagoda! i love the atmosphere of the restaurant and the food is delicious. i personally enjoy dining in, however, the take out is great as well. the lunch specials are plentiful and affordable and the dinner specials are very, very satisfying. try something different and i guarantee you’ll like it! :
I remember this place being insanely good. I understand the Pandemic may have had an effect on some things, but the food I just ordered seems like a step down from Panda Express. Actually, I regret not going there instead. Save your time/money, just get Panda. They taste more authentic than this "authentic" Chinese restaurant.
This place is really good. We were seated right away and our orders were taken by a nice waitress. Me and my friends had a really nice time here. Also, the soap smells great and it’s dark because who doesn’t love a nice dark room am I right? Yeah great place though.
The food was fantastic, but that's not the main appeal. This restaurant has a very welcoming environment- especially from the server Diane. I haven't been many places where I've felt so at home so quickly. General tso was my favorite!
