Awesome restaurant!! The premium margarita was pricey but really good, and had to get one or 2, when in Rome lol. We had every intention on getting a full meal, but after eating the complimentary chips and salsa really good, loved the crispy chips, and the "appetizer" of nachos, we were so darn full. The nachos were so delicious, each chip layed out, with a thin layer of refried beans, seasoned ground beef and cheese. It was served with guacamole and sour cream in the middle. Honestly the best nachos I've had!! Pushed myself to try a handmade tamale, our server suggested the chicken, and wow it was so good!! I wish the restaurant was closer to home, but will definitely make the drive to go back!
I was working nearby and decided to try it for lunch. I'm so glad I did. One of my litmus tests for a good Mexican restaurant is the salsa. If the salsa is good, the rest usually is. The salsa here is fantastic! So much flavor. For my lunch I had the tamales off of the lunch menu. They were great! The service was good and attentive. This place hit it out of the park.
I usually love this place, but unfortunately, it has changed. The lunch menu is not updated online. Chicken fajitas are no longer included. I took current pictures of the full menu to notify others. The server was nice, but the young male host was not happy to be at work. Didn't make us feel welcomed. He simply said "follow me" and tried to sit us right next to the kitchen entrance. I asked if we could sit somewhere else because the booth seats were very torn up. I was wearing a dress and didn't want my legs all scratched up. He didn't say anything but rolled his eyes at me. I walked to the only available nearby table that wasn't too dirty, and he placed our menus down. Sadly, the wooden chairs were very old and worn as well. All of them were very wobbly and creaky. Seems like it's time for some new upgraded chairs and booths.
We saw this place a few weeks ago and decided to eat here the next time we were on Main. Our bartender, Jackie, was awesome! She was very friendly and suggested a few dishes try. We tried the Ranch Water and Skinny Margaritas, fajitas, and chicken flautas. All were delicious. We can’t wait to go back for another lunch.Recommended dishesChips and Salsa, Chicken Flautas, Fajitas
Food was very good. Tamales had a good amount of meat very flavorful. Chips and salsa are light, crispy, not to hotsalsa. Our waiter was very welcoming with a helpful and attentive attitude. I'd say it's pretty authentic. All around great place to eat cheap. Wheelchair accessibility: There is not any steps so. Easily WC accessable.
First time the whole family went downtown Frisco to Chitos. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and would come back.Food: 4/5
We had dinner for 3 in Chitos Mexican restaurant Frisco. It is nearby to Frisco Soccer stadium. We ordered Shrimp Tacos which is marinated grilled shrimp, and Steak en Salsa Verde, which is steak chunks in onion and tomatoes. Both were with rice. We enjoyed the dinner. Parking: Plenty of parking space nearby.
Family loved it - everyone got something that was awesome, except my son didn’t really like the burrito - too plain. My carne asada was spectacular, my wife’s fajitas were terrific and my daughter’s fish tacos were incredible. White queso was really good - chips and salsa were very good as well. Great place to get some very good Mexican food - give it a try!
I went for the first time yesterday on a whim. The staff was nice and their service was good. However, the margaritas are weak and sugary, and the “authentic” food is mediocre. The whole place is very overpriced for the quality. Plus, their AC was not working correctly at it was 108 degrees outside. Not ideal for the summer heat.
We both had the beef enchiladas with beans and rice. They were the best we've ever had! The mango aqua frescas were delicious! The chips and salsa and queso were very good, too! The staff was excellent! We will definitely visit again soon. Love this place!Food: 5/5
