Just ate here today and I was really happy with my meal. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy, and the home fries were tasty. The service was a little slow, but it was quite busy so it was understandable. I believe this is probably the best diner in Oneida.
Chuck the owner is always friendly and remembers just about everyone by name that comes into his place. I go here mostly for breakfast and never had a complaint about anything I've ordered. No matter how busy he is the service is always fast and he's like a machine behind the grill. The prices are very reasonable and trust me you won't leave there hungry. FYI, if you are going to order pancakes they are about 10' inches in diameter!
First time there. It was a diner. Everything that it should be. Prices were reasonable diner prices. Food was spot on. Service was friendly. It's definitely a "locals" place which is a necessary part of any decent diner feel. The honcho on the grill is a Steelers fan and I don't hold it against him... I am a Browns fan and he didn't hold it against me
The coffee was excellent, the waffles were nice and fluffy, the homefries were wonderful, and the owner is an excellent person. They don't take cards, but he told me to "Just bring it next time you stop in." I had nowhere to go today, so I just stopped by a nearby ATM, came back, and couldn't help but order some more. Five stars, I would definitely recommend it. And seriously, try their coffee.
I've been too eat their about 5 times in the 2 years I've lived here. Every time I've eaten here the cooking was ok . If you ever get a side of ham it's sliced like sandwich meat and frozen so he has to boil it then fried it and when you get it it's all curled up and dry. Plus the cook wares a sleeveless shirt which shows his armpits that is a health code violation and it seems the health Department don't care when I had spoken to them about it.
Great little place for breakfast or lunch. Good food great people and service. Very Community minded owners.
Lived next to it so I went there all the time but haven't in over a year because of my last experience. Great food and prices but there was always food in-between the forks and I kept going even when I had had that problem for a whyll. So I always ended up sending mine back for an actually clean one and I was "joked with" that they were just gonna start giving me plastic forks from now on, bc the "new" one was dirty as well. I didn't wanna eat other peoples food and if they know they have that problem they should address it with better cleaner or to not stuff the washers so much.
I walked in, sat down and felt right at home. Cozy and comfortable friendly environment. Big breakfast plate was delicious and timely. Lot of regulars here. I WILL be back to eat alone and think, perfect for that here.
Would never go back . Very poor service. Only one waiter . He brought out my daughters French toast without syrup had to ask for it !!out me looked raw with water poured over it !!! He recorded it was still on the raw side.!!! Never came back to check on us . No offer of fresh coffee. My daughters cocoa was cold and watery. The waiter c W busy socializing with regulars lol. !!
Pretty much spot on hometown breakfast I had here. Good atmosphere with local high school football pictures adorning the napkin holders. Was just passing thru on way home from casino, will be putting in the memory bank for sure.
