The parking was hard to find we ended up going around the back and using public parking. The drinks were standard and cheap neither a good nor a bad thing, just worth knowing. The service was friendly, but not particularly good quality-- two of our party of 8 ordered food which never showed up over the two hours we were there. If you ordered a beer, you got it instantly; order a basic-- like vodka cranberry mixed drink and it would be 5-10 minutes. It was a Saturday night and not busy at all, for reference. Good enough place if you wanna have a cheap bar tab and just chat with your friends. It was nice and quiet. Ambiance wasn't anything noteworthy. Cheap, hasn't been cleaned or renovated since the 80s. Tables we sat at were sticky upon arrival. Weird potpourri in styrofoam bowls in the ladies room. Hockey was on the TV though, which is always nice.
Walking into Christopher's, I could tell it would be a very nice and friendly place. The staff is always friendly, and the patrons reflect that onto new customers. So why three stars? I have been inside Christopher's twice on seperate occasions and have been looking forward to trying the food that the reviews say is so good! However, the first time I went in and ordered food, "a food inspector was there that day and the grill was off". No food, so I left, but everyone gets the benefit of the doubt. A few weeks later, i returned again on a Saturday night and ordered food. This time, they were , "expecting a large party and the grill was off." No food, so i left. The place looks great, looks clean, seems friendly, but I'm disappointed that I have not been able to experience their menu on two attempts.
I stopped by this place on a Thursday night a few weeks ago. It was small, friendly, and very inexpensive. I got a mug of Coors for something like $1.75. I hear they also have a good kitchen, but it was closed the night I was there. This bar had some of the friendliest, most-interesting, and nicest customers and bartenders I can remember encountering. I think a friendly bartender can really make a place. Back in the early 2000's, I used to live in New York City and go to this wonderful bar called Judge Crater's on 91st Street. All I ever drank there were watery domestics with the occasional well scotch and soda, but man, on a lot of nights it was the nicest place in the world-- because of the kind people, the great vibe, and the friendly bartenders who remembered your favorite drink.
Love Christophers! My wife and I usually go there once or twice a week. Very friendly relaxed atmosphere. Great food. Fantastic staff. Highly recommend.
The sign on the door said they were open at 10am but when myself and my group arrived there after noon...They still had the front door locked. We had to knock on the window to get the attention of someone inside to open the door and let us in.Once seated the man told us no food was available and that he was not a bartender so don't ask for anything too complicated. One of the group got a Miller Lite one got a can of craft beer and I ordered a double Tito's vodka on the rocks. The only good thing was that drink was a huge pour and when we got the check for two rounds the total was only 28 bucks.
Dope spot, if you’re a Real drinker and know what you’re looking for. Also don’t come here for your 21st birthday, you’ll still be underaged for this place. Serious patrons need only apply.
Great neighborhood bar , happy hour 4-7pm every day . Half price apps . Great atmosphere.
This place is the only bar in westchester. The food is outstanding, and Christopher is always there. We walk there usually once a week to grab a beer and some food.
hell of a great place. Chris is an amazing owner. keeps issues out and keeps good booze flowing - love it here!
Great place for a beer and some surprisingly good homemade Italian after a long day. Friendly staff and reasonably priced too!
