This hospital is amazing. They literally saved my sons life due to a terrible reaction that set in after a routine vaccine. He stayed in the Houston Tower on August 19 and 20 of 2023 in room 311. I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to all of the staff here every one was really great from housekeeping to room service to Doctors, nurses and techs but the night nurses were especially wonderful . They were so sweet and caring. The one nurse that attended to him both nights was just amazing. She was very patient with him and you can tell she is really passionate about her work she has none of the huffiness some nurses seem to have or develop over time. She was always very gentle with him even at his most fussy. I am very sorry that I fell asleep and she had already gone home before I could personally thank her. This Hospital was the best he has ever been to rivaled only by Phoenix Children’s Hospital and even then I’m going to have to go with Mother Frances because the staff was just outstanding. It was a very nice visit even given the circumstances and the room was very nice and comfortable . Thank you all so much.
This is one of the cleanest, nicest hospitals I've ever been to. I had to have an emergency appendectomy in 2020 and was accommodated well. Fast forward to 2023 and my family member is at their NEUROICU and the staff is phenomenal, despite the couple nurses with attitudes males Navigating the building is a little confusing at first, but they have guides at the front desk to help out. Cafeteria is on ground floor.. Not first floor and they also have a gift shop and a nice mint garden to free your mind of the stress of a sick family member. Their chaplain catholic prayed over my family member with us, sang for her and offered condolences it was the sweetest thing I've ever seen. Small free parking lot in front, $5 all day parking or they also have a weekly parking pass for a larger fee in the parking garages.
My wife gave birth to my daughterour second child at that hospital on August 3rd. In the delivery room the first nurse we had couldn’t even start her IV.. had to call for help.. then I had to correct her on the induction method that was to be used to stop her from starting the wrong process.. she was very disinterested and we were glad when we got our next nurse. She was awesome. Fast forward to our next room.. our first nurse was great but in the morning we got a new one.. Miranda.. she was condescending and treated us like we’d never even had a child before. Acted like my wife wasn’t exhausted from child birth and that I shouldn’t be a little droggy from being up for over 24 hours. My wife breastfeeds, she also breastfed my son. So we understand the lactation process isn’t a day one type of thing. Miranda didn’t.. she treated us like we were starving our child even though her vitals were perfectly normal. We then got Diana.. she was sweet but I feel she too was condescending because of the message left to her from Miranda. Which was that we were incompetent. Overall the different functions need to communicate better. The lactation consultants said we were doing great and to continue with our methods of feeding. However Diana made us feel like we had no choice but to accept Donor milk only 12 hours after birth !!! The charge nurse had to let her know that we did have a choice and that there was no need to force that upon us given the fact there was no circumstance to do so. Fast forward to our first visit with her primary doctor Dr. Castle, she praised us said everything was perfectly fine, she’d lost the amount of weight that she should and was already gaining. I wish those nurses had the knowledge and understanding necessary to make us feel comfortable instead of assuming the worst. If they communicated with lactation all of this dismay could have been avoided.
Had my baby here and had to stay for 4 days. Every single nurse I had was amazing and the anesthesiologist was awesome too. 100% will be having my next baby here again, if I’m still in the area.
This experience could not have been any more pleasant. I went for my surgery clearance everyone was so nice to me. I was checked in for surgery when I arrived I gave the lady on the second floor one piece of paper she put my ID band on I went to the third floor. They took me right in and the medical staff was the very best. I will never use another facility. CMF is my home !!
My wifes doctor said based on a CT scan that my wife had an inflamed gallbladder and to get to the emergency room ASAP. We flew over to Christus Mother Fances and entered the emergency room which was full of patients. I said to myself that we would probably be here for hours until they called us. To my amazement, we were called up in under 15 minutes. It only got better from there. ALL their staff of doctors and nurses were AAA+. They were helpful, friendly and comforting. Dr. Anderson was top notch. If you ever need to go to an emergency room, you couldn't do any better than to go here. Great job everyone!!!!
God set us where we needed to go for my father after every other doctor set him away for almost a year. This hospital doctor worked fast to get my father treated before surgery and took wonder care of him while he was in the hospital. He had a bypass and Dr. Bengtson is amazing. Am very grateful and blessed we finally got my father right were he needed to be. Words can not thank this hospital enough for everything. Very big rooms. Plenty of space. Food is also good. The nurses and staff all have been very wonderful in taking care of my father all the way from the ER to pre surgery, to surgery to the recovery room. I would refer this hospital to anyone that really needs help and is tired of being turned away when all you need is some help.
The nurses were incredibly nice but the doctor was very rude would not listen to my requests and forced me to take a test I did not want which came out negative. He had 0 hospitality and continued to ignore me giving me curt responses to questions. The doctor was Dr. Crutchfield, would not recommend him. He is just a rude individual.
5 stars well deserved from the medical care my daughter received tonight from Dr. Hood and the emergency room nurses. My daughter needed stitches and was so scared, but Dr. Hood’s bedside manner made her feel more eased and relaxed. He has excellent communication skills and patience with young children. Very happy with our medical care tonight!
Absolutely the worst staffed hospital I've ever been to. Never saw one RN. Only LVN's. LVN's, as far as I know, are not allowed to administer narcotics. But these did. The hospitalist, which was not even my doctor, canceled the med order my doctor ordered me. He could not offer an explanation. Not one nurse that came inwhich was seldom knew what I was there for. I had to explain my entire story to any person that walked through the door. Btw, I'm an overworked Healthcare worker but could never except the standards this hospital stands by. These are my personal opinions from my experience with this dreadful place.
