"The Cincinnati Art Museum connects people to art. This has been our charge since the late 1800s when the Women’s Art Museum Association envisioned an institution that would serve as a central gathering place for connection, dialogue and enlightenment through art.Today, more than 135 years later, CAM continues to play an integral role in a reawakened Cincinnati and her flourishing arts community. With our ever-expanding arts lens, even greater collection accessibility, digital sophistication, and reimagined public spaces, we are poised to create lifetimes of connective experiences by linking the story of art with the lives of every Cincinnatian."

We were in Cincinnati for a short weekend trip and decided to checkout the Cincinnati Art Museum. The drive to the museum from downtown was a great start to the day. There was a great view of the city and the neighborhood streets and homes added to the experience. The Museum grounds were also amazing and got us excited for what to expect inside. The admission to the main portion of the museum is free. You only need to pay for the special exhibit if you decide to. We had a great time viewing all of the collections and it only took a couple hours at a leisure pace. There were many items with ties to the local area or artists that made the collects more interesting. I would definitely recommend the Cincinnati Art Museum when visiting Cincinnati.
The museum is a treasure in the heart of Eden Park! It's worth a visit for Cincinnati natives and tourists. The museum has free general admission and welcomes donations. We saw the Picasso Landscape Exhibition, and it had timed admissions tickets for $12 Seniors. There were still tickets being bought day of visit and no one was hurried to rush through in a certain time. We spent close to 2 hours viewing artwork from different phases of Picasso's life. The display is very open and well curated. Electronic monitors reminded visitors that this is priceless artwork, so keep your feet three feet from artwork, and don't touch!
Each piece in this museum has a story behind it, I enjoyed going back in time for different cultures and parts of the world. I recommend it to every group of age.
Always FREE Admission. There is plenty of free parking lot. It is beautiful. I highly recommend you visit even though you're not into art. You can enjoy an amazing Cincy skyline from the grounds. I saw a lot of grops having picnics in the gardens. The museum has a kids area, with tons of activities for them such as crafts, read, and play with toys though an adult should stay with them all the time. My favorite piece was Andy Warhol "soup can."
It took me a bit of walking but I did manage to find the exact gallery that I wanted. This is a large museum and I was very pleased with the artwork. As well, admission and parking are FREE. Warhol, Chagall, Picasso, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Monet, Pissarro. I'm in heaven. I spent an hour with just this bunch of my favorites. Thank you, Cincinnati Art Museum!
We really love this museum — it’s a beautiful, accessible place to walk around and see wonderful art. Every time I go I see something there in a new way. Our family particularly appreciates the Sensory Saturdays each month, too. Always-free admission and free parking is also a big plus.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Maybe next time, I did not get to go inside but I did do the art climb and walk parts of the trail. I did not know how beautiful Cincinnati is in general. I am glad I stumbled into this great city and this absolutely magnificent museum, beautiful art area, nature. I am not sure I made myself believe this city would be an awful place with no beauty at all. As a sports fan and play I conditioned myself to hate teams and locations for the love of my team. For the love of sport I am glad I have stepped away from blind hate and have stepped into willful appreciation. The things you find when you enter enemy terrain and seek to learn from those we view in opposition. I am stuck in a dilema destroy something beautiful to spite my enemy or preserve the beauty and look to mend fences. The choice is easy… war, riot, yell, argue fight. I must shame, defame and send authorities to shut this place down. Follow the example of our political leaders our countries parents and adults, they set the example to justify my bad behavior. Pictures don’t do it justice go see for yourself. I picked the Pinocchio statue because my friend Korean Butters on YouTube. Pinocchio teaches us we can be who we want, the world is ours, if we can break free from the strings and control of those who we give our power to. Met people traveling all the way from Miami just to see it for the 5th time, things we do for children. Come for the Reds, stay for the Museum. Baseball season gives you plenty of reasons to be bad and good. Pinocchio teaches the choice is ultimately ours.
Free entry is hard to beat. Artwork by many names you know, Warhol, Picasso, Monet, Manet, etc. Some local and modern art. Some ancient exhibits from Egypt, Greece, China, Native Americans, etc. Rotating paid exhibits as well. Big and well laid out, but not too crowded or overwhelming. Ample parking.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
You don't need to be an art expert to enjoy art. This Cincinnati Art Museum brings back to the past world of cultures you've never experienced or thought about through the art pieces. You'll find a new appreciation of what living is all about. Moreover, the special exhibit on Picasso was fantastic. It's almost like you could hear his thoughts, even voices, through his work. I felt much closer to him now. I loved the visit.
Great experience at this art museum. It's free to get into the general exhibit and then some amount of money for whatever they're featuring at that time. We'll laid out gallery with fun explanations. Plenty of parking and great map to guide you to what you want to see.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
