Went in to ask about the merch for Taylor Swift and the staff was kind and informative! Not only that, but this location is limiting sales of those items to ticket holders and only beginning tonight before the shows. This is a huge way to curb resellers selling $20 buckets on eBay for $200+. Kudos to the team here for doing the right thing.
Been coming to this location since it was first opened as Cinetopia. Back in those days, the theater was something to actually enjoy. Everything was brand new, they had a full restaurant always opened, lines outside before even getting in, and lots of seating in the halls and lobby. Now, as you can see from my pics, none of those. Now that has very little to do with AMC having purchased it, but they have done little to keep it up or modernize it continuously. The chairs used to be so comfy and plush, but now, they are mostly flat, and the seats are not level anymore. The floor is often sticky here, and as far as a movie watching exp goes, the screens are often not crisp enough and the sound isn't as dynamic as other theaters. The smart move they have made though, is having people buy tickets at the concession stand, so it's a lot easier to pressure by association, the purchase of snacks with your ticket. Honestly, I wouldn't select this as my first choice for watching a movie, but I have dozens of Cinetopia voucher tickets that I haven't used up yet; but as soon as I do, I'll probably not return, unless there is some major renovation and change that happens here to keep me coming back.
We've been going to this theater for the last 10 years and more recently there's been less of a crowd, but the seat selection is pretty good in the stadium rooms. However the last time we were in the lounge, the couches were incredibly unkept and falling apart. Definitely need to update the lounges. Despite that experience, we regularly visit this theater and enjoy the movies, popcorn, soda, candy ironically because there's less of a crowd compared to other theaters in the area.
I hate giving a bad review to one of the few remaining movie theaters but this place needs to try harder. The seats were unlike anything I’ve experienced. like a gaming chair / catapult. We felt like we were sliding off of them the whole movie. Upon sitting down i reached for the cup holder which was already sticky. Ticket prices are way too expensive. The only saving grace of this location was the helpful staff. I hope they all find new jobs soon.
We watched Suzume in Theater 12. I walked in and didn't expect a living room vibe theater, if you do end up in this theater, book the back seats they were pretty comfy couches. They don't recline but I was comfortable.
I went to see Oppenheimer, I booked a ticket online for 6:10, we decided to get there at about 6:15 as trailers and ads usually play for 10 minutes. We go to the front desk he scans the QR code on my phone, hands me the ticket and says go to cinema 1. I get to the cinema and I notice the movie is already playing, there's no trailers and it seems like the movie is in the middle of the movie, I love Christopher Nolan and there's no way he would start a movie like this. I leave the cinema, go the front desk and say to the dude who checked us in "hey man I think the movie is already halfway through, and there were no trailers, are you sure it didn't start earlier?" he walks with me to the entrance of the cinema and goes to look at some screen and tells me no it started at 6:10 you're fine. I stupidly take his word and continue to watch the movie the whole time in the back of my head thinking I've missed the whole movie. Then at 7:45 the movie ends when it should be a three hour movie, I now know for sure I've missed the first 2/3rds. I talk to him after letting him know we missed most of the movie, it did start way earlier and he doesn't seem to care much or acknowledge the mistake. Then he gets a manager and while talking with them we realize when booking online the movie was booked for the previous date, I must have messed up when picking the date via google. I get that was partly my fault I own that, but the main thing is the people working there should have known that the movie started 2 hours ago and not sent me to that cinema in the first place, even after I left the theater and told him I think it's the wrong time he still looked at a screen and told me it started at 6:10 and sent me back in, that's what frustrates me the most. The one positive is I asked for tickets to watch it again another day which they gave me and I appreciate that.
Fair prices and kind staff. This theater has a desperate need for some deep cleaning. The sound systems are fairly great. I enjoy the mobile food pick up option through the app. Makes for a quick trip through concessions when you’re running late to a movie.
First time in a cinema in quite a while, so I didn't know what to expect. Outside ticket booth had two employees in it, so we walked up to it. We waited a while, but the employees never looked up, never spoke and never acknowledged us. Finally, we saw a SMALL sign directing us to the concession stand inside where we had to wait in line with the popcorn buyers. Good news: no booking fees! Inside theater #7, reclining seats! Previews now run 30 minutes and are SO TOO loud, it's almost painful. Fortunately, the movie wasn't as loud. We attended "Sound of Freedom". I highly recommend you see it.
Clean and neat, and no real complaints. There was nearly no decor promoting any movies, and the bar area was closed, despite the doors being wide open and seemingly available. But the staff were pleasant, the prices weren't bad, and the movies were enjoyable. Would likely go again.
AMC buying out this theater is the ultimate downgrade. This used to be my favorite theater around but gone are the days of delicious food, good drinks, and a theater staff that actually keeps things clean. 2 of 3 sinks were broken in the men’s bathroom. At the price they charge, go to literally any other theater for a better experience.
