City Barber Shop

I am a 52 year old, crusty old, somewhat persnickety, retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel. The atmosphere is what I want and expect in my new little country hometown. The haircut was excellent and if they had a question or needed guidance they asked for it. I've been twice and both barbers were to my satisfaction. My wife was thoughtfully entertained by my second visit and took my picture.

When I walked in the man in the front was cleaning a shot gun and the lady in the back was cutting a guys hair. I asked the lady if i should check in, she yelled and said "do you see anymore customers, sit down." So I did, I waited for about 10 minutes and another guy walks in an immediatley starts getting his haircut and discussing the shot gun. Mind you the lady just said there was no wait or need to check in Over all very rude and seem to prioritize their friends or family. I felt very out of place and like I was a burden to these folks.

What a pleasure to have our own local barber shop. Quick and talented, Marcel does a great job. And it’s still inexpensive compared to “Salons” and the “stylist in training” at some Clip places. Nice to be able to actual know you can see the same barber!

Only reason I give 1 star. Is I couldn't give no stars. First the barber s was arguing. Then my head was sheared like a sheep. The razor was dull. And when I went to pay with a $20. I was told I would take all their change. Did I not have the correct amount. My hair cut took 5 min. I will shave my head before I go back.

As a trans male I find it difficult to feel accepted in public places however these people are always welcoming and friendly. I'm very picky about my hair and no matter what kind of style or cut I go in and try to explain they get it perfect every time! They also have great advice about what hair products to use and can break it down an explain what can and can't hurt your hair. They helped me find out that my shampoo was causing my hair and scalp to be dried out and recommended a better one. For a wok this has been the only shop I go to and will remain to be the only shop I go to

I live out of state and for the last 20 years I will wait til I'm coming into town to get my haircut. Very welcoming.

I've been getting my hair cut there for 20 years. Very friendly Barber. Reasonable price.
