Rude and unhelpful. The way they conduct their ticket appeals violates due process. Why are there two parking zone signs and a pay station in a no standing zone?

Parked by mistake in a handicapped space at night and I submitted explanation that it was unintentional and I even provided you with a URL to prove that. All I asked for was leniency especially that it’s the first time I made a mistake. You made me wait 6 weeks to review the case and then tell me a judge looked at the photos and decided that I got to pay it. This will not happen again because I am not interested in wasting my time. Read and understand people’s situations. Disappointed in the judgement and the whole city of Detroit. Paint the pavement so that it is evident but I guess doesn’t bring you money.

I am reporting y'all to the news stations. Only people with no integrity, no morals and just plain ignorant asl would agree with what y'all are doing to the people. This is not right. Y'all literally make it impossible for people to live comfortable lives that they deserve.

Would love a journalist or lawyer to follow up on this pattern of disallowing a fair trial. I'm pretty sure this is a contract company, not a true City of Detroit department as per Kevin Orr. Either way, they're scamming residents and visitors by miss-filing paperwork if you contest your ticket with evidence. Moreover, in my case they've manipulated their records to show that I only had 1 court date when I in fact had been present for 2 dates for the same ticket, in my opinion because they were covering their tracks on the loop they stick you in until the fee increases. Although the magistrate told me both times that the case needed to escalate to the 36th district, I never received a trial date and the ticket reverted to unpaid and overdue. The front desk is either incompetent or complicit.

My nephew got a parking ticket for parking in what they called a handicap spot at Wayne state. There was no sign in front of the parking spot where he parked. There was only a sign at the parking spot next to his. MICHIGAN STATE LAW requires there to be a handicap sign in front of each handicap parking spot. I submitted photos over the internet of the truck parked there with no sign and even some photos from google maps where there is no handicap sign in front of the spot. There was snow on the ground so it's anyone's guess what color the lines were. The department decided he was responsible anyway with no explanation why in the letter. I'm appealing this and I will continue to appeal it. If it doesn't get overturned, I'll call the Michigan Attorney general's office and then the governor's office. I've had enough of local government making up rules as they go along and saying "fight it in court if you don't like it." I can make this expensive, pretty fast for Detroit if they really want they're $150 that bad.

Received a parking ticket for no reason. There is a sign near the fire hydrant indicating a bus stop and no parking. I assume the sign is indicating “no parking” in the hatched area. This would be consistent with all the other areas that have no parking; they all have hatched painted areas. Note: my car wasn’t near the sign nor near the hatched area. I contested it online. They sent me a letter they won't dismiss it with no explanation.

Never got a physical ticket on my car. Got a late notice in the mail 2 months later with an additional $20 fee. It is 2022, there has got to be a better way to issue parking tickets than putting it under windshield wipers. Also, it sounds like the Detroit parking department has no actual oversight and as the courts under their rule.

Parking in Detroit is a scam. Flow bird park Detroit app is useless. Most inept and poorly staffed department I've had the displeasure of having to deal with.
