Love this place. Very nice venue and a wide variety of music to choose from every summer. We bought tickets in the pavilion for the show we saw because it was a little cheaper. We also brought food and chairs and sat on the lawn before the show. It was the best of both worlds. The lawn area was so lively and had a party atmosphere. The pavilion was more like a regular concert where you sit in seats. You can’t bring food in the pavilion. You can bring in drinks but they need to be in a special cup that you purchase. Overall a great experience.
My mother and I did the lawn seats. Not to bad. We went to both nights. We did the park n ride. My mom is also disable and uses a walker. The staff was more than helpful in that area. The "feeling in the air" was just magical. I would do it all again
Had an awesome time seeing Diana Ross!! Was my first time at Ravinia, I will definitely be back!! Beautiful grounds, great spirit amongst the concert goers, excellent staff. Loved it!!
Ravinia is an awesome concert venue. Whether your sitting in the pavilion, or sitting on the lawn. Go to one of Ravinias restaurants, or bring your own food and drinks. Atmosphere is the order of business, along with fun.
Nice concert venue, easy to access walkways and a cool fountain. the sound system could have been a bit better, the audio from the pavilion to the general lawn was a bit muffled. The parking was surprisingly fast to get out of the venue even during busy times when everyone was leaving.
It's my favorite place. It's not summer without a visit to Ravinia. It was a pleasure to see Sting perform both Saturday and Sunday. Rain or Shine, everyone was happy to be there!
It was a very nice place to enjoy a night of music. We went during an orchestra concert so was not very crowded. We had pavilion seats and our view of the stage was amazing. Not sure of the experience on the lawn. We parked in the Highland Park Metra station lot and we walked about 10 minutes. Since our concert was at 8pm parking was free in the lot. Not sure how much it is normally For us it was fairly hassle free as we didn’t have to carry much.
Amazing experience. What a beautiful place and well kept and maintained. The perfect evening under the stars listening to live music and enjoying friends and food.
Great venue! Been to many graduations and a couple concerts. Very open and airy. Love the festivals when you can bring your own food and beverages for a picnic.
First time going here after living in Chicago for 7 winters and I am sad for not coming here sooner! Wasn’t crowded during our concert but that might have been because of Covid. Lots of space even at the start of the show. People go all out with elaborate set-ups and catering. Chairs and tables for rent but a lot of people brought their own.
