Very nice staff and very informative. We did the tower your and it was amazing.
Famous for taking wedding photos. After checking your stuffs for security, you can go inside
Always a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere especially when the Summertime. Always events and activities to be involved in here.
It's a nice place if you want to avoid New York crowded during the Christmas time.
Janelle at the City Hall Visitor Center was absolutely amazing. We have never been to Philadelphia before visiting from Australia and were lucky enough to be spending 5 days there. Janelle gave us a list of things to do to ensure we saw the best that Philadelphia had to offer. We returned a couple of times to buy a gift and to thank her and she remembered us both times. So friendly and accommodating and an absolute credit to the visitor center. Thank you so much Janelle. You ensured that we left Philadelphia with the fondness of memories. We had an amazing time.
My daughter and I attended the Monday 12:30 tour on Dec. 2. The group was a good size with people from Scotland, Italy, Mexico and various States. The appointed guide had interesting information to share. Unfortunately, she had a weak voice due to a virus for which she apologized. In this circumstance, a microphone would have been very helpful for all, but especially for those who travel so far to attend this tour. The Tower Tour was a joy and the 5 person elevator man was an absolute delight!
The actual ride up and the view is pretty awesome. But it shouldn't really be called a "tour." You just wander through a back entrance and find your own way down scuzzy hallways. The waiting room has some info and my elevator operator was very nice. I was not impressed with the visitor center employee. I walked up and she said hello and I said, "Hi, I'm wondering if..." and as I was talking she kept saying "Hello" over and over again. I was so confused and smiled and continued with my question. She kept saying "Hello" in a rude voice at least 5 or 6 times!until I stopped and said Hello. She said, "That's better." It was very condescending, especially after I had smiled politely and said Hi to her in the first place. I know she deals with rude people but I didn't need a lesson in courtesy. The tour is overpriced and the atmosphere could use some improvement. But still a great view at the top!
We did the tower tour and it was awesome! Buy your pass at the visitor center, go through security, then up an elevator, then an escalator, and finally a tiny tiny elevator up to the observation deck. Amazing views of the city!! Even saw one of the Peregrine Falcons dive-bombing some pigeons! Also bought our Phlash passes here, which was the best thing ever! $5 lets you ride all day. Totally worth it for a day of sightseeing!
The view on top was fantastic, and the city hall itself was beautiful. The tour guide, a middle aged lady, was terrible. She just wished everything to be over soon and we were left intimidated due to her attitude.
This building is a must see for all history buffs out there! The 700 rooms are gorgeous with all three branches of government represented. If you take the tour request Dana. She is knowledgeable and witty and will share a lot of Philadelphia history. She pointed out archictecual details that I may have missed. Loved this tour!!
