Beautiful little restaurant and bar. I really liked walked down the street it was in. Lots of old buildings to look at. The staff were all friendly and efficient. Everything that was ordered was amazing. The maple bourbon pork chop that I ate was the best pork chop I’ve ever had! Seriously! I highly recommend stopping here if you are close by or passing by on I68 in either direction.
Reservations are recommended. The filet was wonderful, the brie appetizer was not as good. The bread used in the appetizer was burned on one side and diminished the flavor of the dish. The service was excellent and the atmosphere, we were on the lower level near the bar, was cozy. We would come back again
Absolutely without a doubt this place has the friendliest staff I've ever met! Quaint little restaurant pub. From the second you step into the restaurant until the second you leave the staff is very attentive. We never had to ask for anything. The food is absolutely delicious. You receive large portions that are expertly prepared and reasonable priced. We had appetizers, entrees and dessert. The hardest decision was what to get as everything that came out if the kitchen looked so good. We sat in the bar area as we liked that atmosphere the most. The upstairs boasted candle lit tables with linen tablecloths. Most customers did have reservations. We did not; but, we were not turned away. We were equally welcomed. You must try thir little gem out if you are in the area.
Looks small on the outside, but it opens up once you enter. Nice dim interior lighting, kind of a cozy place. Service was neat and quick. The food was phenomenal!! Had a porterhouse steak and some chicken parmFood: 5/5
We were in Cumberland, MD on only one night prior to biking the C&O Canal Towpath to WDC; thus were wanting a hearty meal. Our front desk hotel staff both unequivocally recommended City Lights, and we're Grateful they did! What a Wonderful dinner, both in Quality and Value! Come to dinner hungry! While their carmelized bussel sprout appetizer was Delicious, unless you are a Big eater know you will likely be taking Wonderful leftovers home.
We were traveling through the area and wanted a local restaurant. It was in an area undergoing a major road upgrade which made it a slight challenge to get to but was definitely worth any inconvenience. The service was as quick and the food was delicious. If we were residents in the area we would certainly be regulars.Food: 5/5
Such a wonderful place downtown. I took my girlfriend here for a nice dinner date and we loved it. The seating outside in the historic district is quaint and the food was very delicious. Highly recommend. Decent prices for a nice place $$ the prime rib was soft and tender and the she got the grilled chicken salad. Afterwards be sure to roam around downtown and check out all the little shops & the rail road
Better than expected in this old school feeling restaurant. Three of us ordered bacon-wrapped fillets which were tasty and perfectly cooked. Others ordered crab cake sandwich, burger and salmon, and all were on point. Waitress was friendly, but service could have been better/faster.
Cozy city and super nice restaurant. Kudos to the staff as well: attentive and expedient. And pretty good food too, compliments to the chef.
Had lunch today and must say it was a great meal. The Brussels sprouts were amazing and loaded with bacon. The cream of crab soup was to perfection and the bacon cheeseburger was delicious. Service was great and very friendly. Would highly recommend if you have a chance to eat here.
