Friendly, quality restaurant with flavorful meals. It doesn’t get better than this. If you’re in the area and want a great meal for a fair price — this is the spot.
The crab cake was real! Not much filler. Traditional Maryland goodness! Coconut cream pie was to die for. Good merengue on top! Feels like a hometown spot for locals. Lots of table conversations going on across the aisles. Waitresses were friendly. Pay at counter. Reasonable prices. Have nightly specials. Can sit at the counter. Not an awkward place to eat alone by any means. Real baked potatoes a plus - could have been a touch warmer though - wrapped in foil. Good tartar sauce too!
This was the first time we ate here, the food was really good, fresh, hot and it didn't take long for it to be prepared and to our table. The staff is really friendly. Their chocolate pie is very good!Food: 5/5
A wonderful place to eat. Whether you eat in or get carry out . Delicious specials every day. Friendly environment. Wonderful atmosphere A+ all the way. They've been in business since 1953.
I visit the Cumberland area several times per year but had yet to dine at Klines so I decided to try it out. When you walk in the front entrance, you have to turn right in the vestibule and open a second door to enter the dining area. The first view upon walking through that second door is of a counter setup such as what one would see in a diner with stools. The dining areas with traditional tables and booths are located in separate rooms beyond the counter area. The atmosphere was casual and it appeared that the restaurant is popular with locals as several customers were seated at the counter area and were conversing with one another and with the staff. A reversable sign upon entering the dining area can display 'please seat yourself' or 'please wait to be seated' The seat yourself' option was displayed upon my arrival so I selected a table within view of the counter area. I was greeted within a couple minutes of seating and was offered a menu and asked for my drink selection. My drink was brought within a minute glass of ice water The server also mentioned the daily specials available in addition to the menu items. I ordered chicken rice soup and baked haddock with baked potato, roll and dish of applesauce. The soup was brought first and dinner was brought within 10 minutes. The meal was quite good and I ordered a slice of what looked to be homemade pie....lemon meringue...which was good as well. To sum up, I liked my dining experience at Klines, liked the casual "Mom and Pop" local restaurant feel, the service was prompt and friendly and I shall return on future visits to the area.
Solid, American breakfast. Got there right as they opened and got fueled up for the day. Would go back to try dinner.
Was hoping for good diner food, menu very limited. Chicken was overdone. Soup tasteless. Waitress and staff very attentive and pleasant. To be fair it was toward 6 when we arrived and many menu items were sold out. They close at 7 Parking: Plentiful
Very friendly staff and food was amazing. Would definitely visit againFood: 5/5
