The Girard Fire Department is headed by Fire Chief Kenneth Bornemiss.
Also known as Station 24 in Trumbull County, we are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a crew of four Firefighter-Paramedics per turn.
The Girard Fire Department is equipped with two fire engines, a rescue truck, a 100' ladder truck, an SUV for medical emergencies, and one pickup truck.
The Fire Department has 12 members belonging to the International Assosciation of Fire Fighters.
The members comprise the Local 1220.
To provide the very best fire, rescue, and emergency medical care to the citizens of Girard, through fire suppression, fire prevention programs, and ongoing fire, rescue, and emergency medical training. We will be a team player with citizens, local businesses and other government agencies, working to provide and maintain a proud community with a strong sense of safety and security.
