City of Reno Municipal Court

I would rate zero stars if I could. 1. They recorded incorrect court information plead no contest recorded as plead guilty which caused me to be harassed by the other party’s car insurance company for one year. They did not compensate me for the inconvenience but instead charged me money because I have to get a copy of audio from them to verify the correctness of the information — the verification job of which should have been their duty. 2. Before the court started, a city attorney or someone else asked me to give up defending and plead no contest when I believed the traffic police recorded inaccurate information. He said he will testify for me that the other party has agreed my payment at the court appearance is final. This person’s other comments have been clearly recorded in the court audio, so he should be easily recognized by people ever worked with him. However, the court and everyone I contacted in the system claimed that they cannot find the person to give the promised testimony when I was harassed by the other party’s insurance company.

Always friendly people as long as you realize your the one that put yourself in the poo. Easy enough to navigate if you know what you are looking for, civil or muni. Always clean, bathrooms are clean, and nice to have water bottle fill stations.

End of last week I went to this place to file paperwork and I can honestly say that they made an already stressful situation 1000 times more stressful. No one seemed to know the correct process. After talking to 3 individuals the 3rd finally gave me information that was correct. Fast forward to today where one of the places they told me I had to deliver paperwork informed me that the court office informed me wrong and to make matters worse they stated that the clerk Daniel W. Stated that he never talked to me that Friday even though his initials and name was on the form given to me. Which the office clerk realized and laughed and stated that “they clearly don’t know what they are doing”. But as always thee people that speak up on their unpleasant experiences get talked about throughout the office and seen as someone that’s making trouble.

Had to get a public defender for my court case. After being told it wouldn't cost me anything to have him. They changed me out the was for having him. All this after I said I wanted to just pled guilty and not have to do a second trial so I can just pay take my punishment and be on my way.

Is anyone ever happy at a courthouse?! Had to pay a ticket, waited in line 30 minutes to find out I was in the wrong one... Went to correct line, paid my proletariat tax and moved on with my day.

Every person I have had verbal contact with in regards to my son....has made this the worst experience possible for a parent!! Nobody knows nothing, I have to file this file that....

Currently under federal supervision to ensure "best practices". Good luck with that.
