Never got my tags before, so I had questions to see what needed to be done. No one is available for help. You must wait 2 hours in line to be told what you need. Then you have to come back and wait another 2 hours to be seen. Whole process takes about 5 hours.
Checked in on phone, fast & efficient.
Usually pay this online, but had to switch tag to new truck. So after having to gather more paperwork I was allowed to cut in line. I believe the wait was minimal and the staff was quite helpful and courteous.
I was at the tag office yesterday and today. I finally received my tag. My husband and I work in Wichita. In line of the work we do in Wichita we have to deal with vehicles and titles. I had to drive to Wichita twice because the woman in charge didn't like our paper work. I do understand that Reno and Sedgwick do things differently. Maybe it is this way because they make their own rules. I just know that I had to go to Wichita twice to get the "required " paper work. Gasoline is very expensive at this time. I know because I used about $50 dollars to do that. I am not complaining about the gas. I am complaining about the person in charge. She was very rude, I get that she has a lot on her plate. If she can't handle the job she needs to find another one. Thank for your time
Went in at 12:45pm, I didn't know the entire office is shut down for lunch, even the kiosk to sign in. There was a woman with a bad attitude sitting at her desk, and I tried to ask if we were even in the correct place to get a new title and was told "we're closed". We walked around until 1pm, when people line up and have to fight for the kiosk. Then all the people who signed in at home start showing up. We waited an 1.5 hours and then was called to the counter, the same woman who we interacted with earlier, and she said their system is down and they are unable to do any title work, and they didn't know when it would be back up. If she would have been a decent human being and allowed me to ask her where I get my title, when I first walked in, I would have maybe left and came back another time. So, after the hour and a half wait, I ended up waiting another hour, along with many other people who also weren't informed about them not being able to do title work. Why wasn't this simply announced or posted while we were there? In the end, I paid them more government fees and the bureaucrats never lose.
Never had any problems doing my tags here and never had any when they were still in the court house. Their new system is a million times better than the old. The old system had you take a numbered ticket and wait for very long periods of time. The new system makes it where you can enter your phone number and get a text update with approximate time of when it's your turn in line. I really do like this as it has made doing vehicle tags stress free. The new facility looks very nice as well and is very spacious.
The online registration process is a joke. Couldn't renew the registration fora travel trailer online. Why? The State nor the county has an answer. Two out of three motor vehicles could not be renewed. The county blamed the insurance companies. Called the State and they blamed the insurance companies. Found out it is the contracted "Ikan" system that is trying to fix their errors so it is between the State and the contractor. The State wouldn't even step up to tell the truth. The facts: All insurance companies send the information to the same place as a data base. There is no chance of human error in sending a database of info held by the insurance company. BTW - the travel trailer took two weeks to get by mail. Very efficient.
very upset with this Reno County. They continue to come up with more ways to spend money. Trying to be doctors and therapist and and another worthless program. How about the county acts as though rhe tax payers run things. Instead just keep raising taxes for people who are already over regulated over taxed. I feel for the workers who take the brunt of the frustration from the decision a few people who think another program with make our county better. Getting to the point I'd rather live in a grass hut in the middle of a field than pay all the taxes they want on my 1925 house. Is approaching 3000 a year. And I live on a brick street thats probably 70 years old.
Hire more help because this is ridiculous!! Yawl about slower than Cook County Illinois. It's ridiculous when the time it takes here is the same exact time it takes in Chicago & their office is huge with 15 to 20 more employees. At least cough up to hire 3 more. Didn't Reno just get 18 million from the government
Once again living up to their low standards. Came in to tag a vehicle and they found something they didn't like on the title. We got and an affidavit for it and came back. Now they're going to require another document that they never told us about the first time. Inefficiencies galore!
