New London has one of the nicest downtown areas in Southeastern Connecticut  . It hosts a series of bars and eateries...The Bank Street downtown district is thriving. The waterfront is so diverse. It has the ferry to Fischer's island and block island. it has the historical train station. A beautiful landmark recently added was the whale tail commemorating the Town's history as a "whaling city". There is fishing, there is boating, there is an amazing bar on the waterfront. New London is quickly becoming a hot spot for Eat , drink , and leisure fans!

There is always something going on here on the pier. When I was there the clipper Amistad was moored and a carnival was setting up for the weekend.  If you come by train no need to find parking. This is also the location of the ferry terminal for those embarking to CT River Ferry: Chester - Hadlyme. The Chester-Hadlyme Ferry began service in 1769. ... Only if they had better public restrooms and users would keep it clean without damaging the facilities. Love how Niantic and Mystic, CT public restrooms are kept clean and functioning without any vandalism to the facilities.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING I LOVE GOING TO THE CITY PIER IN NEW LONDON  I PLAYED MY GUITAR ON THE STAGE AT THE CUSTOM HOUSE PIER IT  WAS AWESOME I TOOK PICTURES AND VIDEOS OF THE BOATS IN THE AREA I SPEND TIME PLAYING MY GUITAR AND SINGING SOME CLASSIC COUNTRY AND BLUEGRASS MUSIC. DECEMBER 1ST 2020 I GOT IN THE NEWS PAPER. THAT IS AWESOME I FEEL SO HAPPY ABOUT IT,. I WOULD GO HERE AGAIN WHEN THE WEATHER IS BETTER AND WARMER I LOVE WATCHING THE SEAGULLS,BOATS, ETC A VERY NICE PLACE TO WALK AROUND AS WELL AND ENJOY THE CITY OF NEW LONDON

We were passing through and observed a beautiful coast guard cutter docked at this location. There is a hop on hop off station here for bar hopping along nearby coast.

I have no other peer to compare it to but I've walked down this one a lot and I've never fallen in and I've never been pushed in so it's pretty good. Well made.

The city of New london does so much with this little gem. Be it sailfest to the food truck festival it's always great to see the waterfront come alive. One of the newest events the maritime heritage festival has just added another touch to what can be done here. Love it.

Great place to keep our boat and easily go to Boston and return to our boat via Amtrak. I've enjoyed a small circle of pubs and food joints & will expand my circle next season. Adventure and romance  everywhere.

Ordered ribs to go a couple of weeks ago and they were fine. Meaty, tasty with a wedge of watermelon.  Brought a friend on the 4th.  Cod tacos were good with a bit of kick, though skimpy on the amount of cod.  The big problem was the second time for ribs.  The watermelon was a gelatinous mess. A first rib tasted of either chemicals or bad meat.  Took a bite from another and it seemed alright, but we decided not to gamble.  Didn't bother to send it back - we had kinda lost our appetite.  Hopefully it was just an aberration - will wait awhile to try again.

Nice spot to walking around and enjoy the sea breeze
