This park fronts the Thames River with a half mile promenade and five piers and 40 moorings. We also have a whole summer of free events.

Food Truck Festival – July 22th Food Truck Festival; will have a bacon theme. All food vendors will have at least one item containing bacon.
Choose your favorite food truck, grab an order, and go! Pick a spot and enjoy live music along the beautiful New London waterfront. FREE kids activities: Face painting and balloon animals. 6-9 PM
August 6th Nimble Art’s Circus
Nimble Arts Circus This is a show not to be missed: children will love the performance of the Nimble Arts Circus. The Nimble Arts circus will perform two shows at 4 pm and 6:30 pm and a one hour juggling workshop at 2pm for up to 30 participants.
August 16th Farm to Pier
Farm to Pier will be a seated dinner featuring fresh local ingredients. It will be an elegant night on the waterfront taking a local twist on the well-known farm to table themed events. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Farm to School, a program in which schools are provided fresh healthy food grown locally. Tickets must be purchased in advance. August 13th New London’s Best BBQ Chef Competition
The City of new London is proud to host a Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) championship cook-off for the fifth year in a row. This year the event will take place on August 13th, 2017 at New London Waterfront Park. Teams from all over New England will be competing. The teams are there to compete and cannot sell food. So, we have also brought in some food trucks who will be selling BBQ in the area for the event. 11 am- 5 pm
August 19th Caribbean Night
This Caribbean-style festival is designed to experience the Caribbean culture. The City of New London invites you to join them for an evening of colorful sites and live entertainment for the 6th Annual Caribbean Night. With the array of musical talent playing for four hours, you will feel like you are in the islands. 5 pm – 10 pm
October 20st Halloween Town 6-9 PM
