Really interesting selection of wines with good bites of food. The cheese and charcuterie options are delicious. The real gem is the guy behind the bar. Ask for suggestions or talk to him about what you like and he offers up really delicious and interesting options you never would have tried otherwise. They also have tasting flights that are really reasonably priced for those of you who can't make up your minds!
Excellent wine and food pairings! Friendly staff and great people watching. Lots of lively people!
Nice atmosphere. The workers are very knowledgeable about the wine. They have a create your own flight option which I really liked.
City Place has an excellent variety of wines from around the world, at prices starting about $8. The staff is very knowledgeable about the wines they have. They let us taste a few before deciding on wines we wanted to order. The brunch is excellent on weekend mornings particularly the french toast and tasty mimosas. We've had the chocolate truffles, which are small for the price, but very dense and all you need to go with the wine.
Excellent service with detailed description of wines. I only wished they had a larger list of reds. I was shocked to not see Spanish wines but most of them locals. Will definitely repeat as we enjoyed the tasting there.
Owner: Awesome guy who seems to have hired a great group of people Service: You get a menu within seconds, someone is always around and available Food: I like the selection, it's all but perfect for a wine bar Wine: It's not often I get to try a new varietal, but this place has something I've never heard of every time I go! Really impressive selection and great bang for the buck = I do agree that the atmosphere is a bit bare, but it wasn't enough of a negative to knock it down from five stars. It's still pretty new, decorations are popping up with time =
Awesome food! Sommelier was super friendly and gave wonderful recommendations on wine to go along with our order. Highly recommend the crostinis. They are big enough to half and share. My favorite was the burrata crostini, followed by spicy tuna tartare, soppresseta and Serrano. The pate and cheese selection is awesome as well... I liked the duck rillettes a lot, and you can't go wrong with the truffle mousse.
I'd give it zero stars if I could. No real atmosphere, and way over priced. $18 for a half ass pour of wine. Buy the bottle for $19 at BevMo. If you want to try it, go soon. Not likely to be in business very long.
Comfortable atmosphere and welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Wine menu thoughtfully updated periodically to give customers new experiences.
A fantastic little wine bar with a lot of flavor, excellent wine list, and a great happy hour menu! Cheers!
