Met 2 buddies here last week for beer and snacks. They have a great selection of beer which is hard to find. The service is friendly and homey. The staff make you feel at home. But the fried snacks were unremarkable and bland. Even the garlic fries lacked flavor too!
Best bartenders and service in town. Solid kitchen, Blue cheese steak sandwich was phenomenal. Not sure about the DJ Fridays, Feels like there are enough nonsense bars/failure-attempt-clubs on Murphy. Would be infinitely better with a live Irish band or Irish music playlist, even if just on Friday/Saturday.
Music isn't too loud to actually have a conversation with a work connection or network over drinks and chips. Huge serving of fries. Their radio played a lot of Beatles which was a good thing. Vegetarian options: Not too many options for vegetarians but good enough. A bit oily though. Parking: Lots of parking the back but even that can get full if the weather is good.
Nut allergy friendly. Went on Sunday and had the Irish Stew and the Shepherd's Pie. Good portions for salty but decently flavored bar fare. Drink prices are reasonable Two pours of Russian River brews were $8-10 each, there are cheaper options. However, service was slow food came out reasonably quickly, but it took a while for anyone to check on us and I'm surprised we never got water.
Good location in downtown Sunnyvale. Sat at the back patio. Small area but felt cooler than inside. Service takes long because you have to order through one server who is usually busy at peak times. Food wasn't great. Fish and chips were ok. Big portion. Save your money and eat somewhere nicer. Decor looked authentic.
I really liked the decor with its rustic wooden accents. Service was quick and the staff were jovial. The fish and chips was low-salt and the s’mores chocolate cake seemed flaky. The lemon drop cocktail was seriously good.
Thursday night special is where it’s at! The steak and veggies cooked to perfection. Staff was on point and very attentive to an empty pint. Overall really liked the atmosphere and people. Kind of a chill local vibe, great tunes and plenty of screens if you want to catch the game. Leave a "Like" if this reviewed helped. Interesting place on the historic Murphy! Loved their outdoor seating and food! Seating: indoor, outdoor, bar Loudness: relatively laud Cleanness: clean on the outdoor seating, slightly sticky tables Menu diversity: plenty of food diversity from burgers to Irish soups Parking: plenty of parking in the general area Price: good prices
The food was OK the service was great the music was way to loud and not my taste I couldn't wait to get out got a headache In there was my anniversary but the music ruined it for usFood: 4/5
Good place to hang on a sunday afternoon! Irish Steak Pie, Fish & Chips were all large portions of tasty goodness, just what one would expect. One friend had the "grown up" Mac&Cheese and thought it very good. The Irish Benedict was not appealing to one of my companions. She said there was a sour taste to the eggs or hollandaise, couldn't pinpoint. So she traded it in for the Mac&Cheese Bites. Again she was disappointed as she was hoping that it would be fried pieces of the Mac&Cheese above; but it was "kraft" or ""Cheesewhiz" or some other processed product. Service was stanard, the busier the place got the longer it took for our waitress to get back to us, only one gal and the bartender. Parking was doable, not like a Friday or Saturday night impossible. Oh almost forgot to mention the drinks. The have what seems to be a bigger drink menu than food menu. I had a Bailey's 'n Coffee with whipped creme. I swear it is real creme!
