One of the best Hobby Stores around! Lots of inventory, something for everyone on all budgets! RC race track, rock crawler course, super friendly staff!
I have to say, these people are awesome. I live on the other side of the planet, and I wanted 2 Axial trucks for Christmas. I placed the order with them, they wanted to validate my shipping because I am not living in the USA at the moment, and we took care of that. The great lady on the other end said that it would ship as soon as the truck was released by Axial. I also asked if it would be 2 boxes, and she said, "Nope, we can do it in 1, that's how we roll". Low and behold, a few days later I get the shipping notification. And about 3 days later I have an awesome box with a Bomber and a Yeti inside. Perfect. This is a father and son Christmas present, and everything made it in time, at a great price. And shipping was even good too. Thanks again for being cool, checking on things and making my little man happy. You will get many more orders from us in the future.
Best hobby shop I've ever been to. Amazing service and people, great prices. Awesome race tracks and a wonderful scale/ trail course with the option of renting scale trucks to try out, or you can bring your own. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Simply blown away!
I had a special request for a project and I experienced great customer service. What I needed wasn't in the store, but it was ordered and in the store for me within 24 hours! I will definitely keep them in mind first over places like Hobby Lobby, Michael's, etc. Thanks again!
When this place first opened they had a great selection but when I went in yesterday things were pretty bare and they didn't have allot of what I was looking for that they used to have. Still they have a great staff, extremely helpful. They can and will order pretty much anything you need and can have it right away. I hope that the stock decrease is only temporary because they are one of the very few places in Reno that sell RC hobbies. I will defenetly update the rating if the stock is fixed. Still all in all a great store.
Awesome folks! I understand they are under new ownership fairly recently to March 2014. All we needed was a couple of replacement antennae for the remote controls to some inexpensive RC trucks. We walked in the door and were greeted quickly even though there were several other customers there looking at higher dollar toys. When we explained what we needed they never made us feel like we weren't worth it, instead got the correct part numbers and got them on order for a LOT less than anywhere online. One of the two antennae was back ordered for a bit, and they offered to mail it to us at no extra charge when it did come in. We were expecting media mail, and living out in Fallon that it would take another few days. Imagine our surprise, they sent it priority mail! We got it the day after they had called! CKRC is our first stop for anything RC, especially our next vehicle purchase!! Thanks guys!!!
I have never had such a terrible customer service experience in my life! I ordered a part for my RC car and was told it would be in the next day. I showed up today about 1:30pm to pick it up and the door was locked, yet there were employees inside working. They said they can't open the door, they have some crazy thing going on. I figured it was a safety emergency like a flood or fire or electrical issue or something. When I called the store, the employee said they were normally open until 6pm, but he had to close up for the day because they were too busy with putting product away. Too busy putting product away to open the door and help a customer during normal business hours? What a bunch of losers! I ordered this product through CKRC because I like to keep my business local if I can. I will still be spending my money locally, it will just be with Traction Hobbies/Raceway from now on. I have had more than one poor customer service experience at CKRC, but after they got a new owner, things seemed like perhaps they were turning around. Now I realize that they are even worse than before. What a shame. I would recommend going anywhere but CKRC for your hobby needs.
Fun place. The staff was super helpful in talking us through the different vehicles and let us walk their various tracks. My son is looking to get into RC cars and this was the first place we'd looked. After the service they offered, we'll be back when it's time to buy.
Great local hobby shop, primarily focused on RC cars and trucks. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Good selection of vehicles and parts. They have an RC race track and a track for 4X4 crawlers. Rental vehicles are available for the track if you are lacking.
We have been very happy with CKRC. They have a nice little track for my son to play on. So far they've had the parts we need, when we need them. We have a Traxxas 1/10 and they've helped us diagnose issues as well as fix them. Great shop!
