I went yesterday evening to the store. It was pretty busy, but the 3 young guys were so pleasant and helpful. I asked for so many different shoes to try it on since it was 70% off, and all the guys were patient with me. Sadly, the store is closing; I really hope it doesn't happen - there is not a lot of Clarks store around that area.
I was looking around and inspected one shoe in particular. It was about $100, which was a pretty typical markup for the shoe and location. I was about to ask for my size when an employee came over and said that that one was $50 more than the sticker price ~$100 -> $150. What a way with words. I left soon after that. Why would I pay that much when I can get something identical online for less than the $100? It was clear that she pulled the $50 out of nowhere just to try and scalp people. Can't make this stuff up. Would not recommend.
I wanted to take some shoes back that I had gotten as a Christmas gift but was not given a gift receipt so I was told I could not return them which was fine. I then asked if I could swap for a bigger size since they did not fit me and they would not let me even swap them unless I could tell them the day that they were bought which I obviously couldn’t since they were gifted. I drove 2 hours back home with the same shoes I had brought.
Extremely bad service from their manager, first she was saying “you cannot try display shoes” in really bad altitute. The rule itself is pretty weird, but the way she said it makes it worse. Since it’s the 2nd time we come back for the same pair of shoes and we noticed the discount is different than the other sales person told us few days ago. We inquiries if we could talk to the other sales person, but she was so annoyed and rudely said “I’m the manager so I say there is nothing to discuss.” She also forcefully asked us to try using socks, the way she asked makes me feel really uncomfortable and being discriminated against, for 1st she did not force other customer to try it 2nd I really feel she is disgusted at helping us. I always thought it’s a good practice to try shoes using socks, but shouldn’t the choice made by the customer not the sales person? Never got this kind of treatment in other shoes store by a manager like this.
I've been to all the Clarks Stores in Northern Virginia, and by far, Tysons Corner Mall is one to go to! Ask for "Dale". He's excellent and will provide the best customer service you will ever find. Dale is very helpful and will take the time to find the best shoe for you! He's very friendly, professional and courteous! Dale really listens if you tell him about your feet problems or idiosyncrasies to figure out the type of shoes or boots you need... he's knowledgeable and thorough! :
I had a bad experience with one of the salespeople there. I walked into the store last week casullay browsing for boots. I was not planning to buy one then and there because I was looking at multiple shoes from different stores, trying them on to see how they felt. One boot that I liked on the display happened to be my size so I took it and carried it to the side so that I can try it on both sales people seemed busy so I firgured why bother them to get my size since my size was right there. As I was about to try it on, the sales person male came over to me and seemed very upset that I took the bootie without his permission :/ and very rudely said “DO YOU WANT ME TO GET YOUR SIZE?” I then said well, actually this is my size. Then he seemed even more upset so I apologized and showed reluctance to put the boot on and said “sorry, were we not allowed to try shoes from the display? I did not know that”. That seemed to have irritated him even more! And then he just made a rude gesture with his hands kind of like be my guest but in a passive aggressive kind of way. Anyway his behavior discouraged me from buying the shoe and I don’t think I will ever walk into that store again.
If there was the option of 0 stars I would gladly give it to you, and I’m surprised to see so many people who had the same bad experience I had today and still do not do anything about it . Today I have the same thing mostly people complain here , the employees they are more worried about who is going to try the shoe of the display than give a good service or a hello to start or even a sign that says please do not try the shoes of the display if you need a size ask our employees. No to go through the shame of being treated like you are getting it for free in one of the busiest tyson area stores, I felt discriminated when the guy took the shoe out off my hand and told me you can’t try the shoe ,what size do you want but with attitude , what I did was to return his shoe and tell him you know I do not want it anymore ... he laughs with the other employees and says she got offended . when in most of stores I have no problem and if they have a problem so they have employees let people know when they enter cordially apologize the shoes if they need some size we bring them from the back you can not try the display and do not shame people . at the end clarks lost costumers these way .. I wouldn’t never go back again
I’m a huge fan of Clarks shoes and I have many pairs of shoes and boots. I usually order on-line, but I was in the Tyson’s store yesterday. AWESOME customer service from everyone there. Special shoutout to LeAnn. Thank you again. I will be buying my Clarks shoes at the Tyson’s shop from now on!
No shoes to fit me and I have small women's feet. The shoes are nice but come on Clark's. However in fairness it is not just Clark's
The most comfortable shoes. Great discounts...
