The Clay County Courthouse is a historic county courthouse in Green Cove Springs, Florida. The two-story brick building was built in 1889 and used until 1973. A historical marker commemorates its history. It is located at 915 Walnut Street (Brabantio Avenue). On June 20, 1975, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by Ellis and McClure.

This place looks for any reason to be inconvenient, nobody is helpful, people are never at their post, always out to do something or at lunch. I swear these people can't be working a 40 hour week because nobody is ever there. Closed before I go into work, closed at lunch, and closed before I get off work. Basically if you want anything done you have a small 1 hour window in the morning between 10-11am and 2-3pm. Any other time these people are out screwing off while our tax dollars pay for it.

This is the best Courthouse I've ever been in service is great always able to get me in and out quickly and professionally certain individuals shouldn't be blaming the courthouse for what they done

Its easy to find the suites that your looking for, only due to the security team that you encounter at the entrance. Those employee's are some of the nicest courthouse employee's I've ever encountered. That's the only reason I give it 4 stars as for the bailiff's in the courtrooms, well let's just say they are very intimidating giving the ppl in the courtroom a feeling of incompetence or belittling due to the way they speak to them or address them. Almost as if the ppl who have to be there for whatever reason are unworthy of the bailiff's time and attention and that you're some dirt of society reject or something to that effect.

This morning I placed a call to the clerk’s office due to a red light camera ticket. I spoke with three different women Denise, Lynn and forgive me for forgetting the other woman’s name but I think it started with an M. These women were extremely helpful and courteous; I admit I was expecting a different experience but I was truly blessed to encounter great customer service provided by these ladies. I again apologize for not remembering the first person’s name but thank you all for providing a great customer experience.

I spoke with Lisa Sanchez a "supervisor" and was absolutely appalled on how rude and unprofessional this lady was to me, I've made payments for court costs and needed extra time to be able to pay the full amount and all she could say is she couldn't help me, sorry it's not her problem!!! Im a single father with a 4 and 5 yr old trying to get by as we all are, suspending my license and not helping cause i can't afford to pay at that time is not the answer. I thought they were here to help? I can't give what i don't have at least i had to common decency to touch base. Lisa Sanchez is a joke and should be fired, all i asked for is more time to pay... LISA SANCHEZ EVEN HUNG UP IN MY FACE AS WELL, again this lady should not be representing our county.

Cove Springs is another link in a chain of charmless interior cities in Florida, but it has one attention-grabbing feature as you drive through: the massive Clay County Courthouse. A behemoth of a building, columned, with a cupola-topped clock tower, the structure looks as if it were assembled by borrowing design elements from here and there. Though not exactly handsome, it approaches a certain stateliness. Like a temple, it looms, seemingly only inches from the street, and commands the kind of attention a football stadium would get if it landed in your backyard.

Website says that you can walk in but you can not. You need an appointment and they will be extremely condescending and rude to you. No compassion or kindness at all. Extremely disappointed

Hands down the BEST court house I’ve ever experienced. They’re polite, organized, and fast. I was there for all of 30 mins and got exactly what I needed with no resistance.

This is the worst court system on the planet it is, it is very bias and and the procuter is a joke very rude selfish perso. They change there public defenders every month and change rules constantly. This is the worst unorganized system there is.
