He is absolutely the best heart surgeon ever! My husband suddenly eneded up in the hospital after having several mini heart attacks and told he would need a triple bypass surgery. Dr.clay was amazing & helped us to understand everything about the process and made my husband feel confident that things would go well, which is hard to do in this kind of situation. It's been about 2 yrs now and his scar has healed so well, he had a tattoo of a panther on his chest & the bottom right claw had to be cut through & dr.clay matched the foot on that tattoo back perfectly, its amazing!all you can see is a faint line. He really made a difference for us during this whole journey!
I don't usually write reviews, but I feel like he deserves one. He is the best heart surgeon around. When I was told after ten years of heart problems, that I had to have OHS I was terrified. My cardiologist was out of town, and I didn't wanna do anything without him. I was blessed to have Dr. Clay assigned to me in the hospital. Still weary, and scared I researched, and asked around about the person that wouldbe performing major surgery to my heart. all I heard was great things even my cardiologist was very happy I had him. I can't say enough good things about him. He was amazing, and my scar looks great. Barely visible, straight clean cut. Just now six weeks out. He saved my life CABG 5. I can't thank him enough.
I am recovering from by- pass surgery. Dr. Clay was a blessing to my family and me. Not only is he a wonderful surgeon; but, he is a caring doctor who has compassion for the patient and the loved ones of the patient. I feel that it was divine intervention that lead me to him and I would recommend him to anyone who requires heart surgery! Also, I have the neatest incision in town!
It was 22 years ago Veterans Day, November 11 1999, Dr Clay did a quadruple bypass on me. It was a little different as I requested that he skip over my knee joint area when extracting the vain from my leg. I understand after this he made it more or less a common practice for him. Thank You Dr. Clay
Very patient oriented. He takes the necessary time in the room to answer patient or spouse questions in order to put your mind at ease.
Dr Clay was a blessing, has excellent bed side manner and one of the best surgeon in Huntsville, Al.
