OUT TO the transientHomelesspeople. Forcing them to surrender their service animals through threats of arrest and vehicle impounding. Following individuals from place to place giving them hundreds of dollars worth of tickets in which they CAN'T DISPUTE WITHOUT PAYING causing their food stamps to be garnished making them starve. Giving out camping tickets claiming they're is no camping within the City of Clearlake... YET THERE'S A clearlake campground NOT 300 YARDS FROM walmart's parking lot!! talk about double standard: homeless people can't camp in clearlake but housed residents canfor a price. Telling us registered voters that we are not citizens and that is their job" to make us leave town". There purpose in this town is not to HELP but to make homeless people's lives HELL through harassment and abuse of powers. Shame on those that condone these patrol officers behaviors!!!
My house and everything I owned was burned down by the PG&E wildfires in 2017. I bought a small travel trailer and have been spending time back and forth between friends and relatives houses and my travel trailer weather permitting since 2019 without a problem. 2 years ago Recover CA stepped in to assist on my rebuild. It is a long process with many steps. In March 2022 Clearlake code enforcement officer Lee Lambert decided could no longer stay in my travel trailer that is parked on my driveway on my property and has been fining me 5k to date for an "Abandoned Trailer'. This charge is false and the Clearlake police department refuses to give me a hearing. I have never seen such a corrupt police department.
The police department needs to wake up, so does the city council. If you complain to the council, they do nothing. We need new growth—new representation. Not the old brown crusty leaves we have now. We need new green leaves positive growth and new ideas that actually keep this community safe. The Clearlake police department's OWN website says "The Clearlake Police Department, in compliance with Section 832.5 of the California Penal Code, welcomes feedback from citizens of the community regarding the performance of our employees as well as the department." If the police violated your rights, ESPECIALLY if you have no criminal record, then file a complaint with the police department. Just ask for the complaint form that is in compliance with CA Penal Code 832.5 and ask for the paper to sign saying that you are giving a true statement. The staff WILL GIVE YOU A HARD TIME, IF THEY DO, surely ask for the Chief – NO ONE ELSE and don't give any personal info until you get the proper paperwork. This is the new norm: working around stubborn city management and police who get paid with our taxes, and WE have to put extra work in trying to communicate with these guys. For another protective, research the Clearlake police department as you have probably did and research the Lakeport police department. Just read the reviews. Speaks for itself!
My coworker called to report a repeated female shoplifter and we waited for police to show up. We had a retired police seargent on the phone and he was keeping an eye on her. We heard sirens and thinking here they come. Nope, no one showed up. Pretty embarrassed.
Clearlake Police Department is very corrupted. Detective now Srgt Elvis Cook, changed his narrative on his police report falsifying documents. Police narrative was signed off by defective Ryan Peterson, assisted by Mike Perrault and overlooked by assisting officer Sgt Hobbs. Judge granted my pitches motion for false representation, dishonesty, illegal search and seizure. A police complaint was filed in April of 2019 on all officers involved. This complaint was given to Srgt. Dominic Ramirez who corruptedly later handed the complaint back to Srgt. Hobbs, the same person leading the illegal search and seizure associated with Elvis Cook, Ryan Peterson and Mike Perrault to commit the false representation, dishonesty and illegal search and seizure. I later called Police chief/Captain Tim Celli to voice my complaint. I was told by my neighbor an Officer Celli whom i presume is the same person I spoke to threatened code enforcement to his property, next day code enforcement showed up and asked my neighbor if they could take pictures of my property over his fence. $100 violation for dead grass has been issued to me along with past history of numerous incidents occurring. After my motion was filed, followed by my police complaint along with my voice complaint to Police chief/Captain Tim Celli, I'm now being targeted, harassed, intimidated and bullied by the Clear Lake Police Department & Code Enforcement. I have had multiple incidents at my office and my home throughout the years. Clearlake police have always responded quickly, been courteous and taken whatever steps avaliable to find solutions to our issues. In recent months I have seen a dramatic decrease in negative elements in the city which is a direct result of increased police presence and inenforcement. Good work CPD. Together as a community we will eliminate the problems and create the ideal community to live and raise a family in.
Very corrupted police department. Officer Elvis Cook, a detective at the time, falsified his police report to save his department from liability for his extreme actions on a warrant served that day. Warrant turned out to be a different suspect with the same name. While writing their police report they realized the mistake and never mentioned warrant being served in their police report and changed their initial response from warrant served to a probation search to legitimize their actions. Officer Cook also committed perjury while under oath, he stated he was never there for a warrant only there for a probation search. A police complaint is being put together and any and all information against this police department will be filed. Also YouTube videos will be shown along with all police cam videos and all documentation.
Dispatch is often rude, give you a hard time when you report a crime. Two Gwen towers in town cause mind contr. After over 100 police reports filed, dozens of arrests, charges filed, by the DA convictions, restraining order, stay away orders by the court/DA, the police still believe the criminals who try to turn the crimes around on you. They actually go against court's rulings in support of the criminals! What does it take for them to believe you? Nothing works. Not even evidence, court's findings, court orders, the criminals have the upper hand in town, and easily fool cops. You have no conviction, pay your taxes, have a job, but this means nothing to them.They don't help you, they make excuses for the criminals and think they do a good job, no matter what you say or do. Get the h...lll out of dodge!
When you need help from the clear Lake Police department they are really there for you just give them a chance and they have no problem with proven to you that they're great people and that really do look out for the community here in Clearlake California
Very disappointed in the Clearlake Police Department. I witness corruption in the department. Missing rent deposit money in the amount of $1600 from my house after cops raided it. Judge declared illegal search and seizure on the property manager whom they arrested and blamed on. Judge granted Pitches Motion. Pitches motion was filed and granted by a judge for false representation, dishonesty and illegal search and seizure. Never did get my missing money back. Srgt Elvis Cook, Mike Peralt and Ryan Peterson were the ones who were involved.
