Lovely little hidden gem down a country road from the interstate. Super quiet. Pretty pond with a lighted fountain, and filled with ducks that come by for a quick visit. Views of horses across the pasture. Rv sites appear to be close together but we had an end spot, pull through. Full hookups and you can even purchase propane near the entrance. The office staff was wonderful, and Tal even escorted us to our site and got us leveled in seconds, he offered. My only complaint and why I likely won’t return, but no fault of the rv park, is that behind park..there was a lot of trash burning. Day and night…the area stayed smoky, and there was even some flying ash at times. My asthma was triggered. So heads up on that! Not sure how often stuff is burned in the fields but it was enough for me. But if you’re not sensitive to smoky air—this camp site is well worth it! Very nice ground and great staff! Easy, clean, full hook-ups, quiet, lovely, and just an hour drive from New Orleans.
Our new favorite spot! If you want quiet, real quiet, away from it all with full hookups and well groomed grounds this is your place. It’s not fancy, no playgrounds, splash pads or other amenities just a basic, clean, quiet park. Most of the back section is full timers but the front seems to have more short term visitors and it is near the beautiful pond area that has benches and swings around the perimeter. The owner is super helpful and took us to our site but offered us an open shaded one on the way which we took. He helped us back in, whipped out a tape measure to ensure our slides would clear the hookups and offered a water hose if ours didn’t reach it did but recommend 50’ of water hose at some sites. There is no traffic, no kids or adults racing around on golf carts with music and lights and the ducks are nice! We asked about a restaurant and were guided to a tiny little place about 2 miles away where pretty much everything is fried we had catfish, fried pork chops, fried jalapeños and it was tasty. If you want to get away from it all and feel like it, this is the place. We already made two more reservations!
This park is out in the country. The roads are okay except for a couple of low hanging branches which we dodged. No matter when I called, the owner always answered the phone - which is a nice surprise. When we pulled in no one was in the office but the owner showed up as soon as we called him see, he still answered his phone : . After checking us in, he led us to our site. Good thing as it was a little hairy with some tight turns and a couple of straggling branches. We had a back in site that was a bit tricky to get into, and the owner helped us get it done. We had to park our car sideways to fit it the spot. The sites and interior roads are gravel. There is a fair amount of grass intrusion into the gravel in the sites, and they could be a bit muddy if it rains. Our site was not level but the levelers were able to handle the job. The utilities are in the back so they are a little far away. Sites are close together and most are seasonally occupied. The WII FI was minimally helpful. Verizon was 4g 1-2 bars. Satellite would work in some sites. There is a nice pond with some ducks, and a farm with horses right next door. Except for the occasional souped up truck, it was pretty quiet. We stayed overnight and would stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and absolutely beautiful. Very helpful staff. Would have really loved the spots to have a little more room and about half of the park is permanent/semi-permanent residents but we will be back again and would recommend to others.
We needed a place at the last minute in the middle of the night and they were very accommodating! We were greeted at the entrance and lead to our spot. They even helped us set up a little. The park was clean and quiet, and our spot #19 was very spacious! We will be back!
Peaceful and Charming This is a delightful place to camp. The owner, Tal, is welcoming and an interesting guy. The campground is just lovely. There’s a water wheel that pours into the pond. And there’s a fountain, as well. There are some ducks that discuss things among themselves, and you’ll fall asleep to the singing of the frogs. We camped in a fifth wheel in a pull thru, full hook up campsite. They have Wi-Fi that works. The rates are affordable, especially for the lovely setting. It’s a wonderful place to stay. Our only regret is we just booked one night on our way to NYC. We would like to come back and stay for a while. It’s a lot like paradise.
We enjoyed our stay here in this beautiful park. The owner Tal works hard to keep the place nice. Good price for what you get. Enjoyed the pond and the ducks. The internet wasn't so good.
Clean, quiet place to camp. Perfect for hanging around the camper. Sites are level though unpaved. Full Hookups. We didn't use the bathhouses so am unable to comment on that. Very few other campers there during our stay.
This is a very cool place they have ducks and ponds and turtles and it's pretty quiet around here also Restrooms: They have bathrooms with showers Dog-friendliness: They let you have dogs which is nice cause we 2 dogs
We were told about this hidden gem by a friend of ours who recently stayed there. This is truly a resort. This was the first time with our newer, bigger rig; we gave the resort a heads up that we were coming in with our new rig, we were escorted to our site AND helped to back in - he even checked with us to be sure we knew how to unhitch! The resort was quiet and peaceful, we did have visitors though - ducks, adorable! If you don’t want to cook, there are phenomenal little places all around that will treat you like family. Bottom line is that 5 starts doesn’t do this resort, or it’s owner justice - there should be a whole constellation of stars for this review.
