Beautifully located in a lake. Several little shops and restaurants surround a small collection of historic buildings. We didn't check.opening hours for the businesses or historical area. Many places open late and stay open late.Visited onWeekendWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNot sure
Wonderful museum. Local museum like this are what keep the historic memories passed down from generation to generation. Visited from Memphis and was not disappointed. Looking forward to visiting again when construction is finished on the new building. The library is amazing! I also enjoyed the two houses and the WW2 museum. Some great artifacts here. They have a working phonograph! I encourage anyone nearby to stop in and hear some 100+ year old records.
Really cute old town!
Did the walk around, Geo Adventure Lab on site. Worth the trip to see the changes to this area, from when I worked nearby and used to sit in a dining railcar and have my lunch here.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entryFree
They have a variety of houses that were moved near the lake. They represent different things like the church, The world war two quanza hut and the school. You can spend as much time or as little time as you want and the charge is a donation which you can skip. we did not skip it. The volunteers are very nice and helpful. I think children would like it.
Great place to visit with friends and family and learn something new everyday. It is amazing how these homes were restored so other people can see how people used to live in that time. Also the musum is next to the downtown riverwalk so is great to relax and walk. I will post some photos.
