Hated that I wound up in the emergency room, but WOW was I well treated!!! Came in by ambulance, initial triage was quick and attentive and yet the kindness, compassion and true heartfelt encouragement they displayed while I struggled through explaining what was wrong was amazing. The wait for a treatment room to become available was unbelievable short given what I've experienced since the pandemic started. Even the wait for the doctor to come was unusually short. Wish I could remember his name, what a truly GREAT Doctor. I have never spent 20 minutes with a Doctor in an emergency situation it's always in and out as quick as possible and then you don't see them again for hours. He also came back 3 other times, 2 to ask more questions and one just to ask how I was doing. Nursing staff and technicians are very well trained, very competent and caring. They took the time to help me calm down and made sure I felt safe, comforted, and that I fully understood what was being done as well as why. By far one of the best emergency room visits I've ever had. Again WOW, outstanding people and facility!! Thanks so much Atrium, you've got a new fan!!!
Followed a dear older friend to the ER here. The security at the door were professional and pleasantly courteous. They helped as much as they could, despite the volume of activity, and when we were able to go back to see our friend, the medical staff lady in charge of our friend was respectful, informative and took serious consideration to the patient requests that we passed along from the patient's husband. He was sick with the flu and could not attend. I'm not a hospital fan and wasn't expecting anything better than "average." Exceeded my expectations. Charlotte ambulance and fire personnel that conducted her to the ER were excellent, as well.
My mom went here today for surgery in their One Day surgery facility. Her nurse in the recovery room was absolutely terrible. Her name is Annie. She's the short Latino woman with the green Apple Watch band. She was yelling at my mom to wake up even though she knew the medication made her incoherent. My mom requested that Annie come get me from the waiting room. I found out later that she asked for me because she felt like the nurse was mistreating her and needed me there for protection. Nurse Annie told my mom the wrong timeline for taking her prescription. She told her to take it three hours after her first dose at 9:43pm. However the prescription paperwork and the bottle clearing say take it every SIX hours. Nurse Annie could not answer our questions and concerns. She even replied with "I don't know" a few times. She seems completely unsure with anything she did answer. She was trying to rush us out the door, so she was skipping passed some important information in the discharge paperwork. Immediate disciplinary needs to be taken for her behavior. Nurses like her are the type that can cause people to lose their lives because of her carelessness and incompetence.
I went to this hospital for an outpatient surgery and all of the faculty were amazing. The best nurses I’ve ever had and Dr. Meyers is amazing! Everyone was so attentive and caring. Lisa was the nurse I spent the most time with and she is the best!! Would recommend this hospital to any and everyone because of the nurses.
This morning was a frustrating experience. My son had a appointment at 1000 Blythe. However, there’s no address on the building. I kept circling around until I found a security guard who told me where it was. I asked why there’s no address number on the building and she said she didn’t know. I wasn’t the only one with that issue. When I went to check my son into radiology the woman behind the desk said she was finishing another patients chart and would be with me in a moment and the lady next to her was able to help me. After I checked him in, my son asked why the lady was watching SpongeBob instead of helping me. I didn’t really know what to say to him. I had no idea that’s what she was doing. No wonder her co-worker seemed a little irritated with her. The lady who checked us in was great though.
They exposed me to everything knowing I was bleeding out from a surgery and waited so long to communicate to anyone that they requested my permission for a blood transfusion. They treated drug seekers and people with colds prior to me as I was bleeding on their floor. My surgeons office told me to go there for immediate care. Waited 6 hrs to see a Dr after I threatened to leave. You will die in this ED! Operating room was warm as well. I am pursuing a lawyer.
I had a small procedure done yesterday, however I was terrified. Ive never had to do anything like that. Im not sure who to reach out to but I want someone to know that Christina P, RN who was working in the pre-op at the time of my procedure is hands down one of the best nurses I have ever had. She made me comfortable, she made me laugh. I felt so safe. Thank you TINA! god bless you
I was in there from 4am to 8am this past week. I can't remember the day but it may have been Tuesday. Anyway, it only seemed like 2 hours because the doctors and nurses worked quickly and effectively. Any tests were done shortly after I arrived. And after taking mediciane, that I consented to take, I was discharged in a flash. Thank you Kelly for being so informative. And Grason deserves a raise for not causing me any pain at all despite the fact that he couldn't find my tiny vein. Please let this guy do a seminar about how to properly stick and draw blood from people and how to properly put an IV in and PAY HIM.!!! Lastly, if you are a patient, please bring extra clothes so that if you have to get your own ride, you won't be sent out in your pajamas. God bless the young lady for trying to find me a jacket anyway. Good job guys!
Only a few bad apples can change someone perspective. This Hospital is SO Under Staff it’s ridiculous. AND Outdated for Visitors to stay with their Love ones. I visited my cousin and she tell me her food always cold. Couple of days, they missed her dinner because she was in Surgery but today She put a Oder in for dinner AND they NEVER delivered her food And We still don’t have a set time for her next surgery .They mistreating patients here she should’ve went 2 days without food This Hospital Lack so much. where the money going for food and Training courses for their staff .
Got here at 6pm, they took us back three separate times. We should’ve had everything done during the firs triage. I asked for my results and told the attendant that I could read it myself but of course she said I would have to wait on the Doctor. It is now 10m and we are still here. This is the most time I’ve ever stayed in an ER waiting room. I do not recommend this ER. They want the Dr. to talk to us so they can charge more
