Cobourg East Campground is located in a beautiful setting. Campsites are roomy and the the owner seems to work hard to keep the park beautiful. I don’t usually participate in online reviews but after reading many of the poor reviews left by other campers I thought I would. I think many of the negative reviews come from campers who haven’t read or fully understand campground rules. And some campers seem to have chosen to ignore them all together. Be responsible for your own actions and stop looking for someone to blame. On my first day I was approached by a young man who thought I was going faster than the 10 km/hr park speed limit. I’m positive I wasn’t and I pleasantly discussed the incident with Linda in front office. We didn’t let this incident ruin our stay. My wife and I enjoyed our stay in August 2023. If we had the need to stay in Cobourg East Campground again I will, if they’ll have us. PS. We heard many trains and their horns, in the distance. Didn’t mind it a bit, and the ground never shook.
My family loves this Camp ground. Such great prices to camp, very clean well kept camp ground! My kids love it there. It's truly the best kid friendly camp ground we've been too! Long weekends are the best, the street dances, carnival such a lovely place to enjoy with your family :Location: 4/5
Incredible fireworks Free pancake breakfast, outdoor movie games, including potato sack and 3 legged race. Swimming pool recreation room play area for the kids. There are back in and pull through campsites new cabins can be rented . There was a parade the park is spotless
Never been treated this way by a camping site. First we call to reserve for a lot for 4 adults with no service, we did pay the deposit to reserve our spot. Then call back the next day to see if we can have electricity. We were told that they were full. We could n’y change spot. Then one of our friend call to confirm what time they open till because we would be arriving late. By talking to the lady we lean that we had been moved to a electricity site witch was a good thing for us. Then when we got there we got the surprise that the camping lots are for 2 peoples only and then they charge you extra for adults. Witch in this case they make more money off of you. Also you can only have 1 car on the lot. We were told many time to move our car off the parking lot even when we were unpacking our car and putting up our tent. Then we realize after that a train passes every 45 min and making his wissle blown and the ground shake for a few minutes. So not much sleep there or quiet place. Every time we spoke to the owner we got poorly talk too. We decide to pack our stuff and left. WILL NEVER GO BACK.
Very pleasant and quiet stopover between Toronto and Montreal. Level and easy access sites well set up. Will be happy to return anytime. Very reasonable.Rooms: 5/5
Got there, and the lot they gave us was full of puddles, but the management quickly changed our site to a better one and was supper friendly about it. Great rates. Nearby activities: They have a nice pool, basketball court and playground. Lots for kids to do.
Visited there in a trailer with my son. The lot was clean and tidy. Impressed by the way staff showed us to our lot.Rooms: 1/5
If You like camping and enjoy having fun, my advice is this...DO NOT come to this place! There's too many bad things to say, but il said this...they need better guest service.Rooms: 1/5
Great place with excellent sites and service. Being a rule and common sense follower, my wife and I had a fantastic and relaxing time there. The friendliest place we have been to so far. Staff was courteous and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Site was spacious and clean, services worked flawlessly and quiet hours were observed by everyone. Seasonal and transient campers were all very friendly. Had a wonderful time and will definitely return.
Beautiful campground, affordable and free showers. Definitely on my list if I go back that way.
