This was perfect for us. We came on a vacation to Kansas City intending to spend a day at Great Wolf. Day tickets were TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS for our family. With a 3 & 6 year old you never know if they’ll want to leave after 30 minutes! We passed this place on the way into town and I decided to look it up. Reviews were sketchy but cost was only $40 for our whole family on a Thursday. I decided to try it. So glad I did. Water wasn’t cold or over chlorinated, wasn’t crowded at all. It was very nice & clean. Everyone had fun. For $40 we didn’t have to feel guilty for not staying 12 hours. Will definitely come back here & recommend.
Definitely a blast! Especially with smaller kids. They rent good quality life-vests at no cost and the lifeguards are very well trained and attentive. My only dislike was that it was hard to get to 2 of the slides- you have to climb/walk over a rope type bridge and it's a physical feat. The slides were a blast in that total darkness! Pretty intense for a small water park. We will absolutely come back.
I read all these terrible reviews so I didn't know what to expect! It was way better than I thought. Yes the rooms are dated and the air units are loud, but our rooms were clean. The lobby was beautiful. We had a view of both stadiums out our window. The arcade had signs up for renovation but we weren't actually interested in the arcade. Also we didnt know until we were leaving the hotel offers guest a separate hot tub and pool area which would have been a nice way to spend our Friday night but oh well. The water park was great! We took 4 of our kids ages 7,10, 12 and 13 they all had a blast! The food was decent typical water park food and the bar was nice. Were the life guards overly friendly, NO and they shouldn't be laughing and giggling they are focused on spotting potential drowning victims and I was pleased with their job well done.
Upon arrival my email and my request was a room with two beds, when I got there it supposedly said one king, the front desk guy Solomon argued with me until I showed him my email, no apology for being so rude, I also witnessed him doing the exact same thing to an older couple a while later when I had to go back to the front desk the guy asked for an apology and never got one, he was very rude and terrible with people, next we go to our room and it was trashed! Beds were not made, trash was full, hair all over the bathroom, the AC barely worked it was 98 degrees out that day, we needed another blanket so my daughter could sleep on the floor and they gave us TOWELS! I never write reviews but I felt this was needed, I will be moving on to corporate. On the plus side the water park was fun my kids did enjoy that although it was extremely hot in there and crowded. Again, water park was fun but I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying there and won’t be again.
We had such an awesome time, it was our first visit and we will be back! The park was clean and very warm. My son lost his glasses and the supervisor made sure the staff found them quickly, they were awesome!.. my only complaint.. the food wasn't very good, we spent $34 on a hot dog, nachos, 2 burgers a funnel cake and drinks, the drinks were the only things tolerable, next time we will eat first! But we will be back!
This was my 1st experience going to the resort. I went to take my daughter and friends as a birthday gift via groupon. Purchasing the ticket as well as redeeming my group on was a breeze no issues whatsoever! Finding the location going in the correct entrance was also very easy to do. Considering our latest weather conditions the inside was well warmed almost making you forget that it was below 20 outside. For the staff members that I encountered both on the phone and in person everyone was helpful and answered any questions that I had. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves I believe their favorite part was the huge tube slide that extended outside the building and ended inside the building! Over all the environment with awesome my only complaint was the overwhelming smell of chlorine that filled the air and because it was warm it was intensified. My sinuses were affected my eyes were tearing up and agitated by the time we left after 2 hours.
Kids liked swimming but the hotel is another story. No ice machine on our floor had to search for one. Our hallways smell like urine. The bed was nothing but flat sheets and old blanket. Bed shirt was dirty. Took forever to check in and just as we got to the front of the line to check in the lady behind desk just left without a word. No fridge or microwave in the room. Hair dryer doesn't work. No information in the room to let you know what's at hotel. Will definitely spend the extra money to stay at great Wolf Lodge...and will not be staying here again.
This use to be a nice place when they opened. I was shocked at what it's become. The water was dirty and gross. A cloudy film with enough chlorine to singe your eyes on arrival. I should be able to see the bottom of a 3 foot pool! My family itched the whole way home. Dangerous, I watched several kids get bullied and hit and pushed and the life guards did nothing! You can expect a good amount of attitude too if you try to point out they are not keeping kids safe. Dirty, I know this is a large place but not one time did I see some one Picking up trash, food and filth and liquor bottles, yes glass bottles! littered the corners of the pool. I feel like everywhere we sat was Broken furniture and I'm not a large person. Don't try to get away from all the kids fighting, they're in the adult areas too and plenty of smokers for you in the non smoking areas. We lasted an hour before my kids where tired of getting hit and my husband and I had enough. Of course we couldn't leave right away because the locker we purchased would not let our stuff out. We had another 45 min wait for them to figure out who could unlock it, everyone we asked for help said someone else and so on. I'm only giving this 1 star because the manager was nice and apologetic and we got a refund. Can't say that for the girls at the front desk and Ya no towels either. As I write this Several hours after our visit and after a good shower I'm still itching, gross! A comment about some other reviews, I've seen the replies that management has left on other bad review threatening to charge them for false claims. I'm sure they don't go out of their way to make a review to help themselves. No one has a vendetta to ruin the business. It's gross! It's dangerous, Fix it. Your obviously not taking these reviews seriously or we would not have experienced the same problems several people had mentioned before. Way to make a bad situation worse with threats to your patrons.
This was our second birthday party at Coco Key. Our last party was 6 months ago but while the kids enjoyed the party, the service at that party was a bit chaotic. However, I want to report that this party was a very good, much improved, experience. The staff was top notch; handled everything perfectly. I really appreciated their attentiveness to the kids. For us, the location has always had a wonderful facility, but am pleased to say that their service now matches their facility. Terrific!
This place was Absolutely disgusting i will never be coming back here again. Dirty diapers in the pool area. front desk people are rude. the Indoor pool was full with kids and moms drinking, although it says If your under the influence of drugs or alcohol to be not be in the pool. the elevator took 20+ minutes to get on the floor you were staying in. very unsatisfied. when I walked into my room one of the beds wasn’t even made, I complained and she brought me a comforter with a big red stain on it. How disgusting. I will be emailing the GM.
