Our entire family vacation was disappointing as we had depended on Coldwell to provide a good rental property. It was awful. Coldwell has not done its due diligence in providing this vacation space. Saying that it is wonderful and then neither the owner or Coldwell inspected or evaluated the building. When we had multiple problems the solution was "we can send someone out". Should we live in an expensive rental which needed to be a construction zone? Four hours with a plumber on Sunday was enough for me. I was told that the owner has not been in it for a year and the Coldwell rep, ever. It showed. Patio furniture dirty, we washed it, toilets backing up, we plunged. Water leaking through the ceiling into the kitchen, we put a pot under it. Furniture shown in the ad was not in the rooms. No lamps, no dressers, no end tables. We did expect more from Coldwell Banker Premier, sadly, they did not deliver. The fact that the owner switched from VRBO to Coldwell should have been a tipoff. A lot of money, a lot of miles and a lot of disappointment.

Terrible experience. We spent a lot of money on a weekly rental and the place was a dump. The agency gave us the runaround and played games about the whole thing, either ignoring or claiming ignorance about obvious long term problems with the house. We work hard and get to take 1 or 2 'big vacations' a year and spent a lot on this place. There are other rental agencies in Rehoboth, there is absolutely no reason to risk your vacation with Coldwell. Edit in response to the business's response below: Your attempt to address our complaints was the following: you a sent a new toaster over. As far as the cleaning crew goes, the house was a dump when we got there, after your "cleaning crew' had already been there. Why would we interrupt our vacation so they could come in and not clean again? Your bit about not being able to issue a refund or move us is nonsense. Any business is able to issue a refund if they want to. You did not want to. Who inspects a rental house in a town where they don't live? YOU should have inspected the house before you agreed to let renters in there. Finally, what you said about the Rehoboth market being a large investment for renters is absolutely true. It only adds strength to my original point that no one should make that investment with your company. As anyone can see, Coldwell's response is exactly like I said in my original review, they responded by deflecting blame and spouting nonsense without actually saying anything.
Our rental this year was a dirty, moldy, stinky, dilapidated dump! The toilets did not flush well, water leaked from the walls, back steps were broken and one of our children could have gotten hurt, dirty dirty dirty. The CB manager delayed responding to our complaints and then ducked out of being a responsible agent by eventually stating any refunds were up to the property owner. Very very dissatisfied with CB’s style. Do better CB. Going back with Jack Lingo. Only tried CB just to try. No good. Get a new manager!
House Unit 5A Ocean Harbor Dewey Beach - When we entered our rental property on day 1 there was a small bowl on the dining room table that was attempting to collect water from a leaking ceiling. There was water on the table and the floor that we needed to clean up immediately. No one at Coldwell Banker advised us of this when we picked up the keys. We called and was told they would look into it for us. They later called and ask me to take pictures for them. I was at the beach but went back to the house only to find the ceiling had collapsed. Just as we were sitting down for dinner in the kitchen, as opposed to the dining room the plumber and cleaning crew arrived. We understand that things happen and glad that it was fixed but it totally disrupted our first day. We had to clean up what we saw when we arrived. We had to call Coldwell. I had to go back from the beach to take pictures and we were interrupted during dinner. We also had to live with a major hole in the ceiling for the entire week. On Day 2 we were planning on cooking on the grill for dinner only to find that the grill didn't have the grid where you place the food so we had to adjust for day 2 as well. We had plans on cooking on the grill multiple days that week so that was a major adjustment as well. On our final day the ceiling started leaking again. We felt we should be compensated for the inconveniences we encountered. Just a small token to acknowledge the issued we dealt with but the owner and Coldwell refused. It could have been as small as a discount if we returned to the same house the following year but we were turned down. Unless Coldwell changes their stance we will not use them again. VERY disappointed !!!

My family and I have been coming to Rehoboth Beach for over 40 years. We have booked our vacations with Coldwell Realty for the past 5 years now, and have never been disappointed. Harold our agent has always been wonderful and helpful in finding the right rental for my large family. The staff have always been cordial. Thank you all especially Harold for making our vacation stay as always a memorable one. I will be looking forward to booking the same rental property for next year.

House was a complete dump. The company does zero work just lists pictures and takes money. Then acts shocked when the homes a dump and homeowner are slobs. Get a hotel before renting through this company.
