In selling our 86 yr old mother’s home, we thought the experience was terrible. We have POA for our mother to make decisions and to handle the signing. Our requests were not always heard or granted. It was listed way over what we asked it to be listed. In 6 months time we had minimal showings. When we did demand a price drop, she wrote up a new price amendment, not at all what we requested, and wanted mom to sign. She very rarely returned any phone calls. Communicated mainly by messaging or email. It took her 6 months to use the correct spelling of our names. She had trouble remembering conversations we had, therefore neglecting to get papers signed with her power of notary public. Verbally shared an email offer she had received but would not write it up on contract for us to review, then claims she could not get hold of him again. At closing, she showed up as I was signing the last documents as seller but she was there 15 minutes before the buyers signing appointment time and remained with them the entire time. We believed her first priority was to work with the seller as mom had hired her. Extremely disappointing. There is more, but I feel I’ve shared plenty. Mom chose her as a realtor because she was a friend of our sister Mom’s daughter. We weren’t expecting any favors, but we expected her to work IN our favor. Would never recommend her to anyone. We came to Coldwell Banker, The Real Estate Group, following a reccomendation from Pat Bushek, Madison,Wi. to have Jane Glassco sell the home for us. We would like to thank Pat and Jane for the successful sale of our home. These professionals teamed well to find the buyer through a series of well placed suggestions. I used this office to sell our family's home following my parents' death. While I do know if there was any legal wrongdoing involved, I definitely feel that the agents in this office represented the interests of the brother of one of the agents who wanted to buy the property, rather than our family. It certainly felt to me that there was a conflict of interest and questionable ethics in play with this sale. I was totally dissatisfied with their work and would definitely not recommend them to anyone.
