The College Oxford House is a self-run recovery home for female addicts and alcoholics with 30 days or more of abstinence, with a desire to share expenses and live in an environment supporting and promoting recovery.
This is a self-run recovery home that has three basic requirements for the group: it must be democratically self-run, it must be financially self-supporting, and it must expel any resident who returns to using alcohol and/or drugs.
Individuals living in an Oxford House learn or relearn values, responsible behavior and slowly, but surely, develop long-term behaviors to assure comfortable sobriety-forever. Some individuals live in an Oxford House for a few months, others for many years. Together, these individuals develop each Oxford House into a place to learn comfortable recovery.
