I had my baby here last week and the nurses are great. My delivery nurse was Candice and she was very supportive and was always there when I needed her. Nurse Rhonda in the nursery was also amazing, she took great care of us and our baby. They really do go above and beyond for mom & baby. I would definitely recommend having your babies here, you will be taken care of.
My college age son needed a blood test for work. Test/results went fine. Then the horror started with the billing dept. Send us emails stating bill owed but refused to tell us the amount owed. Literally spent 2 plus hours with an incompetent billing employee on 2 different occasions trying to give them money. Asked for supervisor and was given the “no supervisors are available at this time “. Great way to avoid getting things resolved. Left message with customer relations will see if Chris ever returns my call. Send an email bill but the amount is a secret. How ridiculous is that ? Horrible customer service and billing department.
Very clean. Dr. and nurses very very nice. Not impressed with response to Covid-19. ER check-in assistant stressed out due to so many people in emergency room. Poor policy requiring ER patients sign several pages saying they received copies of their paperwork before they even were seen by doctors or got to a room to take their temperatures. Then after discharge, hospital never gave you the paperwork they had you sign saying you received and say they have no clue as to what paperwork you should have gotten in the first place. Nor can they provide anyone bring a blank copy of papers to see what you and should have been given, saying they don't know the right department to call, to bring blank copies to view. This is ONLY where I rate this hospital poor! Otherwise, would have a perfect score with me. Although I disagree they not tell you on the spot if Covid-19 positive. Their Covid-19 policy is NOT confirm it for 48 hours, not treating w/medications, and having patients to call back to see if they had/have Covid-19. As much as you pay the hospital, feel I got nothing in return for my 7 hour visit and 2 hour drive, although very nice staff. As sick as I was, had me walk around the hospital to hunt down my own missing paperwork. Didn't page anyone or offer staff w/wheelchair, I am already handicapped and disabled, weak & sick w/Covid-19 but wouldn't know for 48 hours. Courtesy not ER policy? Other departments very nice & extremely courteous after ER sending me on wild foot goose chase for paperwork that didn't exist. Records dept nice to provide some paperwork though not missing documents I requested or needed for VA. They didn't have paperwork they had me sign for legal reasons, saying I got copies of those documents in the first place. Then a couple days later at home, I got a bill in the mail for documents!!! POOR hospital management and legally inept having patients sign for paperwork then never providing. Dangerous to spread potential viruses which we wouldn't know if we have <48 hours. Wrong to sick patients to send a bill in the mail for missing paperwork they had me sign, but never provided. Had patients sign a legal release, saying I receive a copy of mystery papers, but didn't get + had me run around sick trying to find it. Terrible to not test us on the spot to notify if we are Covid-19 positive before we leave the emergency room. After 48 hours, not notify patients who are Covid-19 positive. Poor hospital policy all around making big bucks and patients getting nothing in return. Repeatedly told ER to correct my name on documents for Dept of Veterans Affairs, same as on my VA card for billing purposes; sent there by VA they should get bill, NOT ME. ER still refused. Excellent staff, Dr and nurses, otherwise. Except stressed out woman at ER main desk who was a bit argumentative when I need missing paperwork for VA they had me sign saying I got copies, BUT DID NOT - then billed me for!! Otherwise would give this hospital a perfect rating. No one sick with Covid-19 should be required to call back 48 hours later to see if they were sick, or required to walk around hospital to spread illness, when we feel too weak to barely stand, to get paperwork the hospital had you sign saying you previously got copies of. The woman at ER desk nice, but not good w/stress. Hospital has no signs, maps or arrows in hallways to offer assistance or directions. To get Covid-19 results that same day after discharge, I had to go to Kroger & purchase DIY over the counter self Covid-19 test, at my own extra additional cost and inconvenience. So why go to the hospital to begin with?? I have a problem with thei
Bad ER experience for us. Rude admitting nurse who made snarky comments dismissing my dependent's condition. Exorbitant billing but that's more on my lousy insurer, Anthem and paltry in-network discount. We provided insurance ID card but got billed as uninsured. May have been my plans fault but contacted St. Joseph to straighten out but to no avail. Can't talk to anyone and billing department is in Phillipines that really can't help. To St. Joseph's credit, I got a bigger discount as uninsured. When I wrote billing to provide insurance I got billed twice as much because of my lousy plan, Anthem. No detail on discharge papers regarding services performed or labs done. Called this patient experience number and left voice mail but no one called back. Gave up.
I had an outpatient surgery and all of the staff and nurses were really sweet and informative. I had never had a surgery before and was anxious about it, but the nurses were so kind to explain everything to me and made sure I was as comfortable as possible and had any questions answered.
It isn’t the facility but the doctor they choose to associate with…. Dr. Cynthia Jansky’s office is very unprofessional and rude. I will never recommend using them, especially the billing office, particularly a lady named Brenda! I was scheduled for surgery and they canceled my surgery but didn’t notify the hospital or me due to me not paying my portion of insurance to the doctor which was $246. I live over 80 miles away and I am at work before they open and I get off after they are closed so communication is difficult. I came two days prior to pre register, completed all the paperwork, had my labs done and an EKG then went over to Dr. Jansky’s office to pay and to let the. Know I was registered and that’s when they notified me they had cancelled. I had already taken off work for 6 weeks and had people who rearranged their schedule to be off to take care of me and they cancel 2 days prior? Insane!
It’s sad that I have to leave this review specially when I’m a employee at the job.Took my son to ER last night. Got stuck with a nurse with a nasty attitude Natalie, who clearly did not know that I was a employee at the hospital also. But anywho, the things that were coming out of her mouth were rude. My 12 yr old son even had to ask what is her attitude about. The doctor gave my son an inhaler because of all the coughing and other issues. Because he need his air way to open. I asked the doctor is that something I need to purchase or what. She let me know that she will be sending it home with my son. Ok fine, but here comes nurse Natalie right after the doctor left, and took the inhaler that my son was suppose to take home. Because he has been wheezing and short on breath. And again his air way need to be open. Telling me that she Natalie isn’t going to send him home with it. So come an hour after leaving the er last night. My son was coughing and wheezing keeping me up at night. My son gets to school today and the school called me while at work asking me if I can come get my son because he is wheezing and coughing. The whole time she giving an attitude. Cutting me off after asking me a question. And much more. That’s why people need to be careful on how they treat people because never in a million years did she know I worked at this place. But they will never have to worry about me being my kids or myself to this hospital.
I came into er with injury to my knee and I was treated promptly n politely. I received great care and was patched n released before my next shift at work!
We took our daughter in b/c she was going on day 10 of a tummy bug. The two nurses she had were amazing! They were so sweet and caring the whole time. They even gave my daughter a princess crown and wand since it was her birthday the day before. No one wants to take their kid to the ER but when you have to you want nurses and a doctor like we had. So very grateful!
Very nice Hospital, Clean and Bice Atmosphere. Staff greats with a smile and very friendly and helpful. Admission very friendly and with a smile and helpful to get me to Radiology which they also same as everyone else. Staff also made sure I got to my car safely since having trouble walking so far distances. In an out and Got the X-Ray results back to my physician as quickly as possible no delays. Have a Very Bless Day! And May God Continue to Bless y’all!
