Usually, I’d give this place 5 stars. But now, I don’t even want to give them any stars! I’ve never had a problem personally myself, which is why I would always tell people to go there. But then I took a family member up there to get checked and the only nice person that gave her any kind of service was the guy in the admission window! Lady doctor was real rude, loud, and lacked professionalism. Rather than doing her job right and treating her patient accordingly, she was loud and yelled at the patient! Did nothing but make her feel bad for going to that emergency room in the first place! One of the two nurses that was with the doctor was rude too. Patient was crying and just wanted to know why she was having the symptoms and the doctor just looked at her and didn’t care. She just walked out! And she didn’t even explain her diagnosis with her or anything! Just sent her out the door! Doctor put a diagnosis on the discharge papers but didn’t mention anything of it to her. Patient was still sent away having questions and not knowing what was going on. Regardless of the reason why the patient was there, the doctor had no right to talk to her like that at all. Very unprofessional and I will not refer that hospital again. Doctor deserves disciplinary action. Rudeness of the employees and doctors are just giving that place a bad image. Oh and they talk about hippa violations, and speaking in confidence… by time that doctor was done saying what she had to say, EVERYBODY in the triage room and probably the waiting room knew all the personal details as to why my family member was there in the first place. There goes patient doctor confidentiality…
Giving a star for the nice customer service literally only at the check in desk, but terrible experience. ER. Waited for over 5 hours for a potential diabetic Ketoacidosis that, clearly ended up not developing since I had the pleasure of waiting for 5 hours in pain until I stopped throwing up and started to feel better. And the audacity to be told that no blood work orders were even placed at the end of those 5 hours despite having blood taken 4 hours ago, even though I was transferred from urgent care. Ridiculous and now Im stuck with a triage bill for absolutely 0 urgency or care. A elderly woman with an open head wound was sitting for as long as I was, so this wasn't about urgency of care needed although my urgent care doctor was clear about how urgent this situation is. On top of that, I can't even leave because no one will take out the IV they put in my arm with an *undisclosed* wait time. Do better. We will not be back and I will be fighting this bill.
This hospital has gone downhill fast. Waiting in the ER waiting room for 3-5 hours, then after the quick and rude triage being sent back to the waiting room for several more hours. Patients are being taken from the waiting room to have tests and imaging done, then returned back to the waiting room to wait even longer. This is becoming the norm. The ER is often full of patients that have been admitted but left in the ER because there is no room in the hospital. My wife was hospitalized for several days recently and spent the first two days in the ER until they could find her a room upstairs. This is ridiculous and dangerous. At this point I think the State needs to get involved and investigate what is going on.
Had a terrible miscarriage and the staff were all so kind and patient with me. It was a horrible experience to go through, but the staff made it so much better with their compassion towards me. I’m grateful for everyone there who took care of me in my worst hour.
I have never been treated better in my life, the nurses were literal angels!!!! They listened to all of my concerns and made sure that I was completely comfortable. The wait time was long but it was so worth it I’m so glad I went.
Be very careful of Baylor Scott & White insurance. I desperately need to see a spinal neurosurgeon. 3 weeks ago I set up an appointment which according to my profile website said was still valid when I checked it on Sunday. I checked it again on Monday to get the address which is supposed to be in college station and it had disappeared. I called Scott and White and they said that The appointment has been canceled because you have to go to a hospital which is 4 hours away from you. I ask why. And talk to no less than 15 people. No one had an answer for me and here it is one day before the appointment which has been canceled and I still don't have any answers I don't know when I can see a doctor or even if I can see a doctor. If you do want to go with Scott and white be very very careful and ask a million questions before you sign up with them!
Excellent hospital nurses and doctors were outstanding with caregiving and the facilities are first class top of the chart, fresh and clean when you’re sick and miserable the level of care and the smiling faces means a lot and definitely affects your recovery!
My fiancé never has severe pain. Called EMS they were great. For 3 days my fiancé has had bad upper abdominal pain and today was so bad he cried he never cries. Then vomiting started several times. They x-ray then said they don't know what the problem is and he was being released, he didn't even ask for pain medicine he just wanted to know why he's hurting so bad. Zilch, notta nothing. No way to get him had to pay 70 bucks for Uber to get him home and guess what he's still in bad pain. All this time he's still going to work hasn't missed a day. Ken is trying so hard. Shame on you BS&W Medical Center. ER #22 Hours sitting in waiting room suffering
Came to the ER with a high blood pressure, big migraine and nauseous. Been waiting over 5 hours and I haven’t see a doctor yet. If you can not take patience just let people know before to check them in. Do not waist people time let people go to another hospital . My first time and I’m very disappointed
I was incredibly disappointed by my experience here. Safe to say I will not ever be returning. After waiting 4 hours in the waiting room in the ER which I know is not the staff’s fault I was appointed to a bed that was in the hallway as my “room”. I had absolutely 0 privacy and consulted with the dr in the middle of the hospital. Not okay. The doctor who saw me was not nice or helpful. I explained the kind of pain I was having and he proceeded to lecture me about how I do not have a primary family doctor here, even though I do not live here. As I continued to explain my pain he told me “well you can still walk can’t you?” I said “it is very painful to but yes I can” and he said “okay yeah so it must not be that bad” I left this emergency room feeling invalidated and disrespected. I will not suggest this establishment to anyone and I hope to never step foot in it again.
