Simple. Just like the start of my experience at Brewster Ford - I was told there was nothing wrong and there is. It took 3 visits, 2 arguments and a competent mechanic to find it was the Pittman arm making the noise. I have a transmission that knocks and downshifts late. I was told there was nothing wrong and you updated the software which should fix it. You also did 2 recalls without telling me first, which didn’t allow me to tell you the wiper recall had already been done after a breakdown by a local mechanic and Ford customer service told me to submit the bill to a dealer. So now not only did your mechanic not notice the recall had been done while he was doing it again, you have a customer with no faith in you.
I was not pleased with the loaner vehicle I received, because I thought I would be getting something like my vehicle I was bringing in. I dropped off my 2019 Lincoln Navigator and they gave me this small Ford it was very inconvenient and uncomfortable to drive was not happy with it. Far as service went went for my 90,000 mile checkup, prior to that I had been there a few months back to have my vehicle checked out, because I brought it from a dealer and just wanted them to go over it to make sure everything was ok with vehicle. Now I get a call from the service department telling me all these things need to be done to my vehicle and it would cost me about $1,500 and I said I just got this vehicle and I don’t think this needs to be done. Transmission Fluid, Spark Plugs, Coolant, Brake Fluid, Driveline Fluid, so I said I would have to talk with my husband. So what I did was call Gervais Lincoln and spoke with their service department, because that’s where I brought the vehicle from and gave them the information on my vehicle and they informed me I did not need to have any of those services done. I was then advised that they was trying to up-sale me, so I thanked him for the information and I called Colonial Ford back to advised them I did not need any of that work done, because it was already done be dealer I purchased vehicle from.
I'm leaving an excellent review for Colonial Ford because they did the right thing and paid the labor on a repair I had to have done because they made a mistake in servicing my car. I'm sure they would have fixed it. However I live out of state. I'm recommending that family that lives by them still use them for service and I appreciate the way they treated me.
I've noticed a few drops of oil under my truck as well as some "sweating" on the oil pan--not uncommon for a hard working truck with nearly 100K miles. Turns out it was a little more serious than I thought. Bobby and Frank and the diesel team did a great job in identifying the issue as well as taking care of other items--all under the extended warranty! Just another reason why I so strongly believe in dealer maintenance and service. Great job and thanks to the whole team!
Ford Consumer Affairs PO BOX 6248 Deerborne MI 48126 8/10/2023 Dear Ford 2021 f150 Platinum owner seeking <36k warrantee on ENGINE TRANSMISSION LOWER SPLASH SHIELD GUARD PLATE OEM that tore because it is made of felt. Counter agent Frank overheard my request to agent Nina and told me not covered. I asked for their name to contact Ford but a 40 year experience Colonial rep intervened, inspected the torn cover, confirmed it is a warrantable item, ordered it and gave me an appointment to install. One month later I drove 40 mins to and from with an escort to drop car. The next day negative Frank calls me to tell me not warranted. Service manager Anthony stands by Frank even though I told him Colonial already inspected, gave me an appointment, and ordered the part. Anthony was not hearing it. So the real problem is Colonial did not time stamp the warranteed part so a month later at 38k they cannot claim warrantee with Ford. Frank told me the time stamp was an issue. Colonial screwed up not documenting the diagnosis and mileage when I brought it in at <36k and is turning it around on me. I have followed up with a Ford 800 complaint and a PO BOX 6248 letter complaint. I asked for a free oil change bc my time was horribly wasted and I was aggravated and Anthony agreed. However, I thought better and rather remain principled, so I did not take the free oil change. I complained instead.
Pat was terrific from the beginning. He was helpful and prompt via phone and text and the next day when we visited, extremely knowledgable about the truck, patient with all our questions and during a slow test drive, upfront and honest when it came down to the numbers. Thanks to Pat, we've never had such a pleasant experience at a dealership.
I bought a 2022 Ford F150 King Ranch from a trusted dealer 2 hours from where I live because my experience when shopping for a new truck at Colonial Ford was so poor. Over the last year my new truck has been in for service a couple times at Colonial Ford for recalls, the customer service team at the front counter does not know what quality customer service means. So much room for improvement, accountability, and training!
The service department is everything you hope for but seldom experience. It was easy to get a convenient appointment, the service was thorough and performed correctly and the charge was exactly as quoted. It was a large job—complete rebuild of the 10 speed transmission.
I've never written a review in my life but this place deserves one. Putting aside that they kept my vehicle for 6 months, never diagnosed or repaired the issue of the entire center console shutting down randomly, never offered me a loaner or any remedies to the issue, when I finally went to pick up the vehicle the driver side door handle cover had been reattached with super glue that had dripped down the side of the driver door and was completely hardened to the paint. I called the service department to ask why or how that had happened and was forwarded to the service manager Anthony who stated "we never use super glue" and again offered zero remedy to the issue. When I told him I'd be filing a formal complaint he happily replied "looking forward to it." Well Anthony, you are as useless as you are rude, avoid this place especially the service department by all means. I've received 1000x better customer service from a local shop than I ever did at this dealership.
Easiest vehicle purchasing experience I have had in a long time! The sales rep and finance manager were top notch. No high pressure, no nonsense and an absolute pleasure to work with. Colonial Ford should be very proud of them! I don't plan on purchasing another car for a while however if and when I do I will reach out to them first! In my opinion, don't hesitate to go to Colonial for all of your vehicle needs!
