A wonderful experience at this park. Great staff, activities were fun and great atmosphere. Parking is a little tight but the staff Willow does an amazing job assisting. The views are magical and very well shaded. Only challenge was internet is only at office or really close to office/store. We will be back and for longer. Thank you!
We stayed here June 2023. Pros- Every single dog was leashed Relatively large spot w/table We got in with little notice for the entire week Pool is nice/clean & spa is for 16+ Bathhouses were clean & operational laundry You can receive packages here Close to food & stores Cons - super narrow roads inside Loud, very close to the interstate Terrible views, our site backed up to a neighborhood Our campsite stayed flooded the entire time Table was so rickety Customer service- When we arrived they were kind and gave us a different spot than originally to accommodate our 30 food trailer which we thought was good because some spots are super small. But, they made my husband and kids feel uncomfortable fishing. I called the front office when it started raining the first hail storm passed through to requested parking under a tree while the isolated storm blew threw. They told me they would charge me an entire nights rent to park in one of the many open spots. I was appalled. My neighbors did it anyway and they both were shocked by her response. Honestly, I thought she was kidding- but she wasn’t. Her response was ‘if we let everyone do that we won’t have spots’ as if everyone was calling asking- they just did it. One of the people who has been long term camping said that things used to be different but it recently changed owners. This is an expensive ‘pass through’ site as they have the necessities and literally next to the interstate. For their prices I would expect a more updated facility- 1/4 of it is old trailers in storage that has the best view- this was disappointing.
We made reservations 7 months in advance for a certain site and when we got there, they moved us to the other side of the campground. We were with my parents and they separated us, tried getting them closer to an open site near us and they told us it was full, which isn’t true. No one came into that site the entire we were there!!!! The bathroom/showers are small and outdated. Very dirty place. Hot tub was broken. Campground is outdated, tight, and very unlevel for big rigs. Would. NOT recommend them. Especially when you pay $65….. pay the extra money at a different campground.
Beautiful location with lots of trees. Lots of amenities. My only complaints would be the sheer number of RV/campers allowed in and the location which is right beside the interstate so can be noisy. It is like a small City on the property. Have never seen so many campers in one place and it wasn't even full. Everyone was pleasant. It was just crowded. Playground: Nice playground for the kids. Restrooms: Clean, nice bathrooms and showers. Push button showers that have to be pushed every 5 seconds to keep water flowing. No temperature adjustment but once hot water starts flowing it is a nice temperature. Dog-friendliness: Dogs on leash but resort is friendly towards dogs
Beyond irritated with the minimal interactions with this establishment. I am a travel nurse and tasked my husband with finding an RV spot for the duration of my upcoming contract. Initially, he was told that there wasn't availability but then received a call back that they could accommodate us. We were not in a position to provide our credit card info to reserve the spot at the time of their call. After concluding our business in public, we went to a private area to call and secure the spot. We were then told we were misinformed and the spot again wasn't available. Shortly after, he received another call to offer the spot and take the credit card info. It was painfully obvious that we were in the middle of a disagreement with their staff. In the midst of the back and forth, I secured a different spot elsewhere. He called to cancel the spot with more than 2 weeks notice and request a refund of the $200 deposit, minus the $60 cancelation fee, per their policy. They refused and stated the cancelation fee is only for short-term guest, withholding the full $200 and stating that they will post a credit for any future stays. No thanks! I want a refund and will seek out the full amount from my bank.
It's a pretty place, with a lot of activities. But we were put in a spot that was too small for our RV, having to maneuver and back up several times because of to many trees, we were suppose to have 50 Amp and was given 30 Amp. There were many 50 Amp sites that were empty. They want Rvs newer then 10 years old but not a good place to take an expensive new rig because it is so tight and could damage it. For these reasons will probably not stay again.
Used to come here when I was little, and I was looking forward to visiting as an adult. Some time in the past 10-15 years they decided to only allow rigs made within the past 10 years. This is not a very good way to make money on their part, and it's very disappointing to say the least. Some people can't afford a newer rig like me. A shame I'll likely never get to revisit the lovely memories I made as a boy.
Very poor front desk communication! We wanted to extend our stay and the 2 ladies behind the desk took our card and put it in, then they come to us saying it was for the arrival because we did arrive a day early. That was already addressed when we arrived, so we were charged double for our extension. Also some sites flood when it rains, constant traffic noise because they are next to I25, and a lot of the property is rundown, needless to say we will not be returning.
Good location for northern Colorado Springs. Right on the freeway, so a bit of noise depending on your spot. Tight, treed grounds, store, pond. They have a decent dump location for $10 fee if you are a non-camper.Service: 5/5
A nice mature trees, gravel sites. Nice amenities. Great people. RIGHT next to the freeway. If noise bothers you this is NOT the place for youService: 5/5
