Back in spots are terrible, which are cramped together and the electrical hookups are BEHIND the spots. Our cable could not reach whatsoever because ours unbundles from the front of our trailer. We arrived at 10:30 am and saw a sign on the office door saying out for medical emergency. We called at 11:00 am to explain our reserved spot wasn't good for us, but couldn't get ahold of anyone. 3rd call we reached someone, woman told us she would let us know when the manager was back. We called numerous times to cancel our spot, and around 4:00 pm we got in contact with the owner to get our spot canceled and refunded, but the woman had an attitude and told us we needed to pay for today still, despite us explaining we had been calling since 11 am and the medical emergency sign they put up. Despite this, her attitude was horrendous and we ended up still paying 52 for the day we weren't even there for. All of this was horrible, and wouldn't recommend them. The leather lots were sandy, no paved lots, sketchy individuals walking about early in the morning, and loose dogs running about. When we went to a neighboring rv park, it's apparently well known that this RV park is the worst in the area. Don't come here.
No trees Open spaces designed well bathrooms were nicely updated. We were here when a sandstorm came through and the staff was very nice and easy to work with. If we were in the area I would stay here again.
We checked-in after hours without any problems. The bathroom/shower was comfortable, clean and large. Wi-Fi worked okay
I stayed in the standard cabins. Nice but really small. The gravel roads are horrible! The WI-FI doesn’t work!
Clean, quiet, friendly long term residents. VERY nice bathrooms and showers. Feels very safe, lots of families and kids running around. One of the few places that listed an option for a nightly stay online, many other parks are monthly or weekly only. Just FYI there is an option to check in late after-hours, they do have a payment drop box. Didn't find that online anywhere, and same-day reservations didn't seem to be allowed online.
The staff were friendly when we called and needed a site that night. The grounds were clean and well kept. We took advantage of the showers and let me just say, they were the cleanest campsite showers I have ever come across. The water faucets worked and the hot shower was amazing. This was a great place to find at the last minute!!
Spent a 3 month stay at Bud’s Place and was very pleased! Quiet, clean and well maintained property. Nothing but good things to say about the grounds, staff, and experience in general. Thanks for having us!
I don't quite understand how this place has an overall rating under 4! I really enjoyed my stay here at Bud's Place. There were so amenities and things to do in the park, and we had very kind neighbors. The cable was spot-on, and the water pressure was the best that I've had in a long time. I hope that the management continues to take care of the location and that people choose this park to stay. Thank you!
Let me start by saying that my wife put in a 2 star review and the management alleges that their maintenance person worked on our AC for 5 hours. I can definitely say, that is a total LIE! When I plugged in, my second AC wasn’t working. I spent a good two hours tearing apart our surge protector to fines out that it was THEIR 50 amp breaker that had one defective side. I had to go to Lowe’s to get a multi-meter because the repair guy didn’t have one. So when I figured out what was wrong I went to get the guy and he borrowed my multimeter to replace the breaker. He worked on this maybe 30 minutes max and for them to say he worked on my AC for 5 hours is seriously disingenuous. Now, having said all that, let me provide more insights to this place. We arrived and was assigned site 103. I usually don’t care about backing in but when the manager saw our rig she said the site is only for under 30ft. She was kind of rude about it as if I had booked the wrong site. I told her that I entered the number of feet 36 and the online program gave me that site as an option. She then excused it as it was the online programs fault. To add insult to injury, when I drove to the site there was a permanent cabin installed into it. When I went back, she acted like they were sold out and there were TONS of sites empty. Then she put us in the site with a faulty breaker. I have to say, the shower and laundry site are very nice. Hence 2 stars instead of 1. Aside from the park itself. Plan your trip here, if it’s in July or summer it’s going to be HOT AS HELL and buds will not provide any shade from trees.
We called on a Saturday early afternoon trying to find a location before we got to Carlsbad. No one answered the phone, we left voice mail, 2 different times. NO replies. This place had been recommended by another rv campground in Carlsbad, so we presumed it was nice. We went ahead and drove there. Found out place was closed for the day, an RV park closed on a Saturday! Called an after hours number, They wanted $61.00 for one night. After being closed and very rough driveway, we said NO and found another place for 1/3 the cost, with very accommodating owner/managers
