For a relatively small community Columbia City has a really nice library. It is an attractive modern building set in a beautiful setting overlooking natural wetlands. The library is well appointed and the librarians are really innovative. They are always trying new programs to connect to and serve the community. This is tax money well spent.
It is such a big well kept library !Such a good selection of books and other things that you would need to research. There was a book sale going on and my daughter and granddaughter who loves to read got several books. I was there for a baby shower the room was nice and big to accommodate everybody and so clean. Columbia City and Whitley County you can be very proud have your library.
Indiana's best library for sure! Great staff, well run, and perfect atmosphere for choosing your next favorite read- or where you can rediscover the fun of reading!
Never open on Sunday. This is the second time I went on a Sunday and was not a holiday. Need to change time on web and the doors if not going to be open.
My daughter was so excited they finally allow students of whitley county to get a library card.
We always enjoy visiting the library. Today we went for playtime and story time. The staff at Peabody are always friendly and helpful
My children and I frequently visit the library and get all kinds of books. I love seeing my kids get new books on all kinds of subjects. They love coming to the library because they can check out different books, toys, puzzles, ect. The staff is always helpful and lends a getting hand anything my kids are looking for a book. Excellent library and staff!
I love the new printing station. Just put your bar code from your library card or guest ticket. It will show your printing job. Then put your money in the machine. The copy machine will print your paper out. The staff is friendly, courteous
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great library!!! Well organized.
I used to work at the newspaper in the area and during COVID, my ex manager and I decided it'd be good for me to take some pics of a book sale. The library board members were rude to me and were nice to the people buying. One lady even said I didn't make enough money at the newspaper place. Instead of being old and nasty, grow up and quit being jealous.
