We’ve been here full time since Last July. I honestly cannot think of a better place to stay in the Columbus area. I enjoy the peace and quiet and the family atmosphere. It’s nice to be able to come in and sit down and talk with the other campers and the staff. It’s a fun time to sit around with others, visit and tell a joke or two; even if people do think we’re a bunch of old men with no place to go. It is a wonderful place to come and unwind and feel free to have an opinion where no one sits in judgment.
We are newbies to camping. We scheduled this stop for our way home. The he staff was super friendly! We were concerned that our spot didn’t have full hookups. Our worries were unfounded as they have a great dump station with hose for clean out. Easy peasy!!!! We will make this a regular sleep over location on our northern travels!Service: 5/5
I walked in the office on arrival and there were 4 old men just hanging around talking. There was a lady behind the counter who seemed more interested in what they were saying than in greeting me. I made my way through the group to the counter and conducted my business, all with their loud conversation in the very close background. My mood did not improve when I walked out of the office and noticed the nasty political bumper sticker on the car parked in front. The campground was average in other respects.
It's a nice quite get away. I am glad that I found this campground. If you are in the area you will not be disappointed.Service: 5/5
During my travels through Indiana, I stopped at the Columbus Woods-N-Waters Kampground and paid $20 to use the dump station. I had called several parks in the area, and most of the places I called unfortunately closed their dump stations in the winter months. However, I stumbled upon this gem of a place that had the cleaniest dump station I have ever seen!!! They even had access to water and a hose. The entire park was beautifully maintained, and the staff were lovely! Thank you so much for being open and accessible year round!
Lovely campground and the nicest people. Will definitely be back.Rooms: 5/5
Awesome overnight stay, quite and the folks are super friendlyService: 5/5
Very nice and quiet campground, lots of shade trees and a lake right there. Everyone we met were very nice and friendly. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.
This campground is wonderful for our travel softball family. They have a playground and a pool for the kids. Some of the sites are smaller and closer together, but we actually request those.closer sites and we are usually traveling in a group of 4-6 campers. It's nice for us to be closer and almost have our own little area. The pool is heated so even on cooler days, it feels wonderful and the kids love the ability to take a dip after playing softball all day. We are a repeat customer and will continue to go here in our softball adventures!!
On same day of arrival, while traveling we made reservations to stay at Columbus Woods-N-Waters Campground. It was raining. Because we arrived after the office closed our receipt and map were on the door. When we arrived at our campsite, it was at least halfway covered with big soggy puddles. It was not possible for us to get out of our truck, into our camper or to plug in without being in a puddle. Many other sites were in the same condition. We called and were allowed to move to the next spot. Very disappointing to arrive in the rain and then have this challenge. It could not be the first time this has happened, the owners must be aware. Graveling the sites would help. Although this campground says they have Wi-Fi, it was not available where we parked. What would have made this better for me is if when I called, they said, many of our sites flood when it rains - if your site is flooded we will move you. Campers understand that things happen, however it is helpful to know what you are going to be dealing with. Also, just tell me the Wi-Fi only works intermittently and only if you are standing by the office. Be up front and honest, then I can make an informed decision. We would have probably still come here as it is convenient to the highway. At a glance as we are leaving, the campground looks tidy. We would maybe even stop here again, but would make sure it either was not raining or we had a dry site.
