My mother receives daycare services through Comfort Keepers. The caregiver assigned to my mother is very caring and got adapted to my mother’s care needs very quickly. The communication with the office staff is great. Additionally, the agency was able to assign a great caregiver that is bilingual in English and Spanish, which was one of my requirements.
I've been working for comfort keepers for a year now and i love working for these people. Everyone is so kind and very helpful. I won't work for any other agency!!!
As a Home Health Aide, for Comfort Keepers in Highlands County Florida, I have the honor to work for an agency that genuinely cares about the well being of their clients and caregivers!
Comfort keepers have provided us such peace of mind allowing our father to remain independent. Scheduling has always been so accommodating and we couldn’t have hand picked his care giver better.
Heather, Intake Coordinator came out to our home for the initial intake. She was very nice and professional. She had to send a pic of Lift we use to transfer my disabled husband to get approval for caregiver to use. After speaking to office staff, she was told it was approved for use by caregiver. She proceeded to complete intake and got our bank information for payment. Heather completed her intake and left and I want to emphasize, she did her job to the best of her ability! About an hour and a half later, she called and stated the manager a higher up told her that I, the wife, would have to help operate the lift because it has a sling! It is NOT a hoyer, but they consider it as one because it has a sling. So, their policy is a two person assist. I am disabled, as they were made aware of on first initial call to them. After the whole waste of everybody's time and after giving out our personal financial information, they said they could not accommodate us with a caregiver under these circumstances, totally disgraceful and disgusting how we were treated! After speaking with Heather, I asked to speak to the agency manager and was put on hold, as no one ever picked up. Apparently, too cowardly to speak to me after what they did!! I would definitely NOT recommend using Comfort Keepers. They provided NO comfort to us!!!
I have worked for Comfort Keepers really since 2004 . But left for a while , and came back to the company in August of 2020. It felt like I had never left home ! Yes , there were new people there working now , but also some of the same people I had started out with . I wanted to work with this particular Company because I knew how it was ran on a day to day basis . I knew the Co Founders Personally that started this Lakeland office . They care about their Clients, as well as their employees. I was the 4 th person hired when they started Comfort Keepers in Lakeland Florida in 2004 . I am very satisfied being an employee of this company , I couldn’t imagine working for a different Health Care company . Nina Hicks 02/15/2022 An 18 yr Fan , and Employee !!!
My sister, Janet May, who lives in a group home seems to be enjoying her new “friend” who visits her each week and plays games with her, helps bath her and frequently puts her in bed. This helps her in many ways. We are appreciative of this effort.
I worked for them a while ago and I was always the one they called to cover someone’s shift I was pretty reliable and my clients where awesome!! but when I needed someone to cover me last minute because there was some issues at my daughters school and being that I am a single mother of course I had to call and ask for a fill in the last time I called them to let them know that on my way to work I was called to the school for a emergency for my daughter and then I was fired.. one thing about this place is that they should already have people on call for these kinds of issues with workers I guess they expected me to not attend my child in a emergency they completely lost my respect and wouldn’t even suggest them to anyone because this company was pretty much all over the place not on task and was losing workers all the time!! I am sorry to all the clients that where not satisfied with this company I wish I could say better things!!
I love being a caregiver at comfort keepers I relocated from Pennsylvania and I was also working for another comfort keepers . I just love what I do and enjoy working with the population that I do. I will never regret being a caregiver.
We were told we would have the same caregivers so that the terminally ill patient wouldn't have to deal with a lot of different caregivers. That didn't happen. We had only one caregiver that seemed to know what she was doing. After over two weeks of dissatisfaction, we terminated their services. I was told that I would not get my $1,900 deposit back because I did not give two weeks notice. Then they still charged me for one day because I didn't give them a 24 hour notice. Why would I want to put the patient thru another 24 hours or 2 weeks of poor care. I would never recommend this company.
