Community Counseling Service

My 7 yr old son went here for 6 months found a wonderful therapist who was helping him and diagnosed him with ADHD. There was an insurance mix-up thay could've been easily rectified but this place basically dropped my son, made it impossible to see his therapist or make a new appointment until we paid our whopping 200 bill that my insurance was going to cover after mix-up was cleared up. My son is now struggling and I'm scrambling to find a new therapist even though my son does not want to see anyone but the therapist he had there. This place does not care about the patients. AT ALL!!!

I found a great counselor here, got me through some difficult time's and I am greatful for the counseling services being nearby, during Covid they had remote counseling as well! What's better than chatting with your counselor in your PJs when you are going through something difficult? I know they have phycology service as well, depending upon your insurance, the counseling is accepted by many insurance companies and I believe they might offer sliding scale but in not sure.

DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY IF YOU NEED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES. They are looking to double bill you for everything and they are not transparent about billing, at all. They attract people on the lower income level and squeeze every single penny out of you for trash service. The woman in billing has said to me - MULTIPLE TIMES - get a new psychiatrist. Do not go here. I will email you a list of doctors. I don't want another list of doctors, I want the ones I trusted in the first place to work. A literal 5 minute phone call to have a psych introduce themselves will land you a $120 charge. There is zero transparency. Billing does not take accountability for ANYTHING and will not help explain it to you - somehow that lands with the doctors? When it is your JOB to handle billing? I had someone at the billing department really say that to me. IN ADDITION to telling me to NOT TO TRUST THE DOCTORS & GET A NEW ONE. Stay far from this place if you value your money, time, and what is left of your sanity. They will take advantage of you and your circumstance without blinking. It is absolutely DESPICABLE what this business is doing to the community. Pick on someone your own size, community counseling. Let people find people who will provide REAL services. This facility is atrocious, and I feel awful for the people that continue to choose to work there.

Dr katz and siri are wonderful but the people who are in charge of this counseling service do not give two craps about their clients. After 3 years they threw a bill in my face. I did not have the money i told them i can pay in installments and would not allow that and would no longer give me the medication i NEED to be on. You can not just take someones medications away that they have been on for years but they did not care. If you want to recieve proper care and be with a counseling service that actually cares about their clients PLEASE do NOT come to this place . They really do not care about their clients or their mental health

Helping a community in need! <3 Hopefully they get the funds for a better building soon. But you should never judge a book by the cover. Meaning- they do great work and help for children, teens, and adults in our Mastic Beach Community. We need to support business like this more for the sake of our children growing up here.

Was a patient and at first was real nice enjoyed going but had certain therapist who were no good then got one i really liked and things were going great but i had moved for 4 months was told if i needed to talk call anytime and that was a problem when i did then was toldthat if i came back there would be no problem coming back to see therapist i was seeing and they would get me in rite away and always make room for me that was a lie the doctors are horrible and refused to see me because i had missed some appointments but i thought it was taken care of the last time i seen the doctors but that was a lie cant trust them go somewhere else

Put my child in danger by prescribing me unfit Rx while breastfeeding, and when I brought it up to them after seeing my pediatrician they said they had no record of this... my baby was at the appointment with me...

No judgment, everyone is so helpful & makes you feel so comfortable! Would recommend to anyone!

Thankful to have Counseling in the South Shirley/ Mastic Beach Area.
