Took my husband in today, determined it was a bad infection. The care there is phenomenal! Melissa,Tonya,Katie,the Dr.,and all others were so good with him. Kept him overnight to make sure he's going to be okay. So appreciate the special care he received. Thanks so much to all! Update...I called about hubby doing good, thanks to another wonderful staff member Jessica grateful for the info. Hope okay to mention names,if not delete,and will edit.
ER doctor needs to work on his bedside manner. Extremely cold and dismissive of our families concerns when our mother was brought in from a possible stroke. They never even gave her fluids intravenously even though she should have gotten them immediately been in the emergency room. It’s one of the first things they should do especially if someone’s having a stroke.. so glad she’s got transferred to neurology at Parkview Fort Wayne. The nurse ended up being very polite and letting us know information and the girl at the front desk was very nice also but the doctor on call needs to take a course for bedside manner
They gave my son fentanyl without permission then they are billing us twice for the same visit. The nurse was nice. Update to one star. They are trying to charge double the price they told us .
Again, more of the shady billing practices from a hospital. So, I go in to the ER because I cannot stand what feels like something in my eyeball. I wait around FOR 2 HOURS late at night when there was nobody even in the ER. When I finally see a doctor, he spends maybe 5 minutes with me, clean my eye out that was badly scratched, and tell the nurse to write me a script for some pain meds. ANOTHER HOUR, I get my script and get released... Then comes the $2,400 bill! It's literally laughable that we allow these shady hospital crooks to still do this in this country!
I am pleased with how the seven staff members treated my partner when she was in ER on Thanksgiving 2022. The speed in which she was checked in, the time it took to get her evaluated and treated was remarkable. We were quite stressed and the staff helped calm us down with their positive attitudes and bedside manner. These people were kind, gentle, good listeners and the bit of their timely humor made a big difference in relieving my partner's discomfort as well as mine.
I'll start by noting that the additional star is for the immediacy of availability of service. I now understand why there are openings. My wife was seen for an ultrasound at this location on 12/29. Though we had an appointment, the technician informed us that she was not technically proficient at this particular medium of imaging. She left the room on more than one occasion to consult on proper procedures, and she was ultimately unable to get the requested imagery. The billing representative, understanding that it was our intention to pay all fees in full, failed to mention the third-party analysis charges billed after the visit. We had already paid $489 for subpar service, and it was a slap in the face to get the $101 bill for the analysis that confirms that no images of the requested organ were taken.
Took my kid in for suspicions of a broken foot. They took x rays and said the weren't too sure, but there is no swelling so its probably not the case. She will be fine after staying off of it for a few days. But if we were still concerned, make an appointment with a podiatrist. After that nonsense, we went to the podiatrist two days later - they took xrays that showed a very obvious jagged crack in the side of the foot. What kind of doctor can look at an xray like that and say they aren't sure anything is wrong? Its been well over a month and we are still wearing a boot and healing this foot. Solved nothing but still billed my insurance for a couple thousand.
… Brother In law got hurt so made me sit out by myself cause only 2 allow back .. instead of letting me go back they made me sit out by myself with a person passing every now and then… up up your customer service !!!
Dr.Koppelmann was a great sport, and just a really great person, very kind, polite, and informative!
This is the worst care of patience that I have ever had... I can't call and talk to one of my staff members I have to call the phone center and talk to an operator who then determines who I should talk to.. a nurse not one of my nurses..then a note is sent to my nurse who has 24 hours to return my call... Since the onset of the phone center I have not been able to call and speak to one of my staff members... I called five times in one day and wasn't allowed to speak to one of my staff members at all... Go to the emergency room is what I am told!!! I will be switching doctor's because I no longer wish to be treated like this!!! I feel I should be able to discuss my medical care with one of my staff members and having to go through all of this is just too much!!
