The COMPAS Program is a non-profit program that promotes HIV awareness and prevention in the Columbus, GA community. We provide free prevention education classes and free HIV testing and counseling to the public. Our target population is African American women, but we do not exclude any individual in need of these services. We partner with New Horizons CSB's Midtown Recovery Center to provide substance abuse treatment services to both men and women in building a better life and becoming a productive citizen in the community.
Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where women will receive information and free testing for HIV/AIDS while receiving evidence-based substance abuse treatment aimed at reducing HIV infection and substance abuse relapse rates.
