Mission

I had a really good experience at this hospital , I have trouble breathing and the doctor from clinic asked me to do CT scan my lung at this hospital. The hopital gave me an appointment very fast they called me at 10 am and gave me an appointment at 12 pm- same day. The person who did the exam for me was very friendly, i don't speak french very well and he was very happy to explain everything in english. And Natalie, the nurse who gave me an appointment and explained everything after receiving the results was also very friendly and patient, she also encouraged me to stay calm and offered some solutions to my problems. Thank you so much!
Emergency room must be the worse making an 85 year old man wait 16 hours ! And leaving after 24 hours... Today, 6 years later we had an appointment his glucome it's took 4.5.hours just to see the doctor... my dad is 90 years old . Dr desjardins retired best doctor what a loss! We were there forever and the replacing doctor said his was lost ... Unbelievable
My doctor sent out 2 request for a surgeon to see me 1 in may the 2nd in July now the 3rd one in Late August. Big mistake ti chose this hospital.ok we are October 8 still waiting for the call .
I’ve been waiting for ear surgery for a tumour on the inside of my ear. I was told I was going to have surgery in the month of January 2023, it’s now July 14 2023. This all started in October of 2022. Staff doesn’t help whatsoever. Go private even though it’s slightly costly
Dr. Tondreau in CRID is amazing! I have seen her several times now for this one health issue we're working on figuring out, and each time she has taken the time to clearly explain what she is doing and why she is taking the actions she is ie. explaining what worrisome symptoms would be for me and what to look out for, telling me the reason she's choosing this specific testing method, etc. which I find a lot of doctors don't do! As part of this process with Dr. Tondreau I've been in the radiology department several times now too. Both times I had to wait about 45-60 mins past my appointment time to get in common at a lot of hospitals but staff was friendly and most managed well enough in English that I get by with my limited French.
Had my baby in there and I really felt at home, the nurses are adorable and super attentive also 10/10 for the doctors and food. I really enjoy my stay at the hospital.
You would think a hospital built so recently would be designed to be easy to navigate, but this one is weirdly confusing. I was merely told to go to the yellow wing for my appointment. There's three floors and a different yellow wing for each of them. Specifying the floor I had to go to was crucial, and they didn't do that. On each floor, there's no indications of where wings are, so you have to fumble around to find them. For some reason there's a door to the first floor's yellow wing near the main door that leads to an empty room, so at first impression I thought the whole yellow wing was closed, but the door to the active area of the wing was further down the hall. It turned out my appointment was on the third floor but I had to try the yellow wings of the first and second floors first. There's no indication of where each department is in the common area. The clerks at the doors of each wing did not know where the department I had to go to was either. One of them guessed, and guessed wrong. I got tipped off by a hand written sign at the counter of the 2nd floor yellow wing specifying the departments that are on the third floor of the yellow wing. Because of all this fumbling around, I was late to my appointment despite entering the hospital 15 minutes early. There's a reception desk in the common area of the first floor, but it wasn't staffed when I came in. I understand that it's hard to keep these positions filled. But this would all be so, so much easier if there were clear indications of the floor and color of all departments in plain view in the common area of each floor, and signs pointing to the direction of each wing of the floor you're on. This is a hospital. Most people don't go there regularly. Every hospital is organized differently. There should be orientation signage everywhere. You can't have too much signage. Even if it may feel redundant or excessive for the staff who come here every day and know where everything is, I can assure you that every sign with indications you could add will be useful to patients. This is a simple problem to fix and I hope it's addressed eventually.
Was a little worried after reading the reviews but our experience was not like what is described below. Staff were courteous and respectful towards us and guided us to where we needed to go. We were seen in a good amount of time 3.5 hours from the time we arrived to the time we left after being seen . This is a review just based off our experience. I guess it depends when you’re emergency happens and the severity of the urgency that dictates how long you’ll wait.
Why do you call people and book appointments if you don't have enough doctors? And why the staffs are so rude? I was only expecting common sense and manner
This hospital is horrendous … my wife was 6 weeks pregnant and in so much pain, they made her wait over 15 hours because they didn’t take the pain she was in serious enough and it ended up being one of her fallopian tubes had burst and she needed surgery right away. So be aware for the pregnant women in pain don’t go to this hospital.
