Disc Golf Course is one of the best around. Well kept, fun placements and the additional 18 holes for a total of 27 will definitely challenge your skills. 20+ years I've been playing this course and it's still one of my absolute favorite courses in California. Restrooms: A place to go...about all it is Dog-friendliness: Dog park down the hill gets packed and people park up at the disc golf course, which can become frustrating on a busy day. Be prepared to park down below the course. Picnic area: Picnic area right off hole 1, 9 and 18. Very localized and a nice shady place to cool off.
Love this park! The big playground near the firehouse is awesome! Disc golf is epic! The skatepark is magnificent! The poor, dying, Peabody Creek pond is by turns glorious in the rainy season and gruesome in the dry months. Homeless people and trimigrants camping out at the disc golf course bring in loads of garbage, loud music, hostile dogs off leash, and human and dog waste all over the area, especially when the restrooms are locked at weird times. It's not the dog's fault, or the homeless people's. The dogs need better owners, the homeless need a place to live with some human dignity.
This has been a great experience for my dog Starlight . She loves to visit and run around and play with all the other dogs. Playground: There's a Frisbee golf course, baseball park. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of friendly dogs everytime we go.
I've been visiting this park for decades. The pond is a peaceful place to chill. There's basketball courts, a baseball field, a playground, skate park, dog park, disc golf course, bocce ball courts, hiking trails, picnic area and the Love Building, which can be rented for events. My sister held her wedding reception at the Love Building in 2005. Restrooms: The restrooms in the lower part of the park, by the basketball courts is hit-or-miss because of the homeless problem. They're not always open and if they are, they can be pretty dirty. The restrooms up, by the disc golf are usually open. Down the street at Mini Park, on Brighton Street, there are nice restrooms that are always open during the day. Dog-friendliness: A dog friendly park. There is even a fenced dog park area.
Excellent frolf course. So many trees to throw your discs into. Option to play 9, 18 or 27 holes. Or an ice cold creek runs through the course as well that you can dip in halfway through the game. Highly recommended Safeway right around the corner, sells cold beer and it has sandwiches at the deli.
Decent Park in the city of Grass Valley. Complete with Pond, skate park, Frisbee golf, trails, clean restrooms, picnic tables, playground and ample shade. Playground: It is present and accounted for Restrooms: Present. They flush. Picnic area: Here
Our family held a reunion this past weekend. We reserved the Love Bldg for a dinner event and Pavillon the following day for a BBQ. Living 600 miles from Grass Valley this was simple to reserve, payment method, providing insurance, facilities information, and understanding the post-event cleaning requirements. The City of Grass Valley Miranda made it easy. Thank you
Great place to walk your dog but just know if your dog is off its leash and runs up on my dog and scares my dog that I'm going to do the exact same thing to the dog owner and iam going to run up and get up in your face and personal bubble and scare you so in Hope's that people understand that if you can't control your dog then you should keep your animal on its leash or you'll be seeing me up close and personal in your face just like your dog got in my dog's face but hopefully people have a bit of common sense and are responsible animal owners and it won't come to this point have a wonderful day and enjoy the beautiful scenery and all the park has to offer sincerely Michael hawk from butler st grass valley CA 95945
Really expansive park with something for almost anyone - a beautiful disc golf course in the trees, children's playground, a dog park which truly deserves its own review, arboretum, and a skate park, which looks like it's straight out of Rocket Power If you're a rollerskater who has a hard time finding good, flat distances to skate around here like me, definitely give this park a try!
Take your dog to the large dog park or for a walk in the woods. Walk jog or run the couple miles of trails. Play disc golf on a world-class course. There's a renovated state-of-the-art turf softball field, a little league diamond, a basketball court, a gazebo and children's playground, and a ecological restoration area where no dogs are allowed. Playground: New facilities with outstanding toys and features Restrooms: Cleaned daily and almost always presentably decent Dog-friendliness: A huge up for it's dog friendliness Picnic area: Large gazebo with tables and benches, and lots of grass space in the park
