I had heard of this MHP before but hadn’t really explored it until this past week. I showed a few homes here and was impressed with how clean and nice the park is. All of the homes are nicely kept and the yards are nice.
Great management taking care of the place. She is a great asset to the park. Also the new club house is great .
Tidy, quiet but not dead, attractive clubhouse with pool tables and outdoor swimming pool. Friendly, active adults 55+ who are still alive. I just can't accept the "rental fee" for your lot which is moderately high and increases annually. You should be getting more for that cost. For heaven's sakes, you can't wash your car in your own driveway. Seriously. ?
Bill Clark and I loved Forest Springs the minute we drove into the park to look at what became our present home. We loved the positive energy we could feel in the park BUT -- since Sun Communities purchased this part -- the whole atmosphere has fallen apart. As far as the front office is concerned -- you're just another person who pays rent. The office is unfriendly and the big corporation couldn't care less if you have a problem. Most of the residents are delightful and most are seriously disappointed with what has happened since Sun Communities took over.
I've been here for 10 years. If I could afford to move, I would. I need to be closer to my doctors. The rent keeps going up and up! Almost to the point of affordability. Most seniors don't have that kind of money.
Don't live in here but I have friends who do. It keeps growing bigger, there are different stages from older to newer. The new like a little tree lacking to me! One of the stages has garages. It is a senior park. Managers have been different over the years, some act like it's a gated community but there is no gate or guard shack. Some residents are Leary of any visitors, maybe cuz they're insecure. It's close to a community highway but it's not a getto by any means!
We lived in two manufactured homes in Santa Rosa, and moved into Forest Springs in Grass Valley five years ago. It is by far the most beautiful MH Community we've seen. Many activities in the clubhouse, a well maintained pool and hot tub, and an off-leash dog park meet all our desires. The only thing that could make it better would be "rent control".
Very pretty neighborhood, but to much traffic for such a small community, residents drive in the speed limit, but visitors drive and park to fast and in fire lanes

nice park they got a little construction going on the rent does not include any utilities unbelievable I don't know how they expect that to be a retirement community retirement people don't make that kind of money!!
