Confucious Chinese Restaurant

About

Traditional Cantonese cuisine -- but fresher and better than ever before! Come see what's new, Houston!

Description

In the heart of Houston's Chinatown, we've been serving traditional Cantonese food since 2002, and our chef-made dishes are staying true to their cultural origins with bold flavors and fried finishes. Our most popular dish is our black pepper lobster, and our regulars can't get enough of it! Speaking of regulars, we've built a community of them, and they'er the reason we're so committed to making improvements while maintaining the traditional flavors we're known for.

My parents absolutely love this place and the food is definitely delicious! The lobster, mushroom and tofu, and pan fried noodles were all fantastic! I think the cleanliness of the utensils, plates, and glasses leave much to be desired. The service is pretty acceptable, but they could be better. It definitely gets really full around dinner time, so you may have to wait for a table if you opt to go around then.
First time at the restaurant and I made a rookie mistake...I ordered 2 of the lobster plates thinking it was like most lobsters that I have ordered from other places....the result....more lobster than I could eat see pictures. The food was perfectly seasoned and delicious...one lobster plate comes with 2 large lobsters...still good the next day but don't make my mistake and think that they are puny lobsters.. Definitely a repeat location. Location was comfortable and service was really good.
First time here and we took my mom. Really delicious. Nothing over salted. Everything seasoned just right. GREAT portions! Must try both lobster in green onion ginger sauce and lobster black pepper and green onion. Awesome prices too. Service was fast and super nice. We ordered the lobster lunch special. 2 lobsters for 32.99 when you order with 2 other dinners 7 days a week 11am to 3pm We ordered the black pepper lobster, spicy green beans, and beef ginger and green onions. Total bill 62$. Our food was fabulous!!! The best lobster I have ever had in my life. And it's cut into bite sized pieces. Most of it came out of the shell in one bite with no effort. The wait staff was very attentive and we never needed anything. Definitely will return.
The place looks ok, the duck was so so, the mix seafood in clay had way too much bean curd, but the lobster with black pepper was sooo good. This was the first time I actually get full from eating a lobster dish, the quantity was really good for $36. Would come back for the lobster but won't reorder the other dishes
When my nephew told me he wanted to eat here for his 15th birthday, I didn't know what to think. Simply because I haven't heard of them yet. But after a quick Google menu search, I was now ready to see the food in person. I can say the food was amazing and the customer service was ok. They give you a pretty big portion of whatever you order. After we got our food. We noticed we was going to be taking a lot of food home. The Lobster was so good. And the steamed rice with lamb ribs, was too delicious.
Cantonese seafood Restraurant known for live Maine lobster and Dungeness crab. I love both here along with the spicy green beans and mushrooms and vegetables. Most of the people eating here are Indochinese and that’s my sign it’s authentic.
The BEST lobsters with salt and pepper in Houston. I come here every single time when I visit Houston. They cook your order very fast. If I remember correctly, two lobsters for $32. It was $18 two or three years back though. Very Asian style service and friendly. Lot of free parking around the restaurant. Highly recommend!
Confucius has served me the finest Chinese Cuisine I've ever eaten. Not to be missed is the Lobster with Ginger Sauce or with black pepper. Their soup servings are huge...for 6 people. The greens and other choices are top notch. Best of the best!
A great Chinese Restaurant in Houston! Really like the wok hei! The food wasn't too salty. Must get the classic lobster ginger scallion stir fry and snow pea leaves! Also, got a beef dish and king crab over rice. Everything was good, but I was disappointed that the king crab was separately stir fry placed on top over friend rice, overpriced, and I wouldn't recommend it. The restaurant had limited space, small, jam packed, overhyped, and I felt we were rushed with our dinner as there is a waiting line out the door. Overall, good portion, good wok hei, not too salty, but expensive and narrow seating and walkway. If you come here, expect a rush dinner and long wait.
