I just had surgery here at Cooper Hospital, This has been an outstanding experience on every level. Cleanliness- My room was spotless and well organized. Professionalism- from the patient transport personnel to my surgeon everyone was personable yet focused to provide me the best service. Nurses- All went out of their way to continually ask how I was doing and if I needed anything. Friendlier than the staff at Chick-Fil-a! I am very thankful for the wonderful care I received at Cooper Hospital, TY
Had to bring my daughter there for Flu like symptoms. The nursing staff was amazing. The doc was nice. The room was dirty. I’m pretty sure the room was not cleaned from the prior patient. Which is insane. We were in an isolated room, which should have had a terminal clean. Hopefully this review will get the attention of the Environmental staff. The floor had French fries on it, pieces of paper, little plastic things on the floor and not to mention the floor was very dirty. Hopefully infection control will see this review. With COVID, FLU, RSV, and other contagious infections all rooms should be properly cleaned/sanitized.
We recently had an excellent experience at Cooper when my husband was sent by his GP because he was in AFib. GP called ahead and he was seen within 10 minutes of getting to the ER. They immediately began running tests, getting him assessed and putting a plan in place before he was taken to a room. 5 days in the hospital and his care was consistent, thorough and caring. The cardiologists even called me following two invasive procedures to let me know what they say. We were very pleased and are grateful to report that he is doing MUCH better.
We are not from the area but my son suffered a sports injury and Cooper's was recommended as the best place to take him in the area. We only waited in the ER a few minutes before being called back. Everyone from check-in to discharge was great. We were in the pediatric ER as my son is 16 and the ER doctors, nurses and plastic surgeons were wonderful!
This review is for security person badge #559 . I understand the hospital policy is for no one to lounge on the bench in the waiting area. However, you can be kind. Please dont talk to people the way you did. I watched you approach an elderly woman lying on the bench with her head on her coat. You said to her , "you can't lay on the hospital benches, this isn't a hotel" . RUDE. Do you understand that no one is here today because they want to be? People are here after getting up at 4:00 a.m. and driving an hour or more, they're waiting for their loved ones, they're anxious and nervous and tired. This describes the woman you barked at. She also has a headache and has to safely drive home. I understand you have people come in off the street that don't belong here and try to lounge on your benches. But you could ask questions first before you come off so rude. You could kindly ask her to not lounge on the bench that it is hospital policy. Please remember compassion and kindness when you're dealing with people.
Had my son at this hospital 4 years ago in June 2018 I had scheduled c section they refused to check my cervix when I asked as I was in active labor upon arrival at the hospital. Upon having my son they were rude to me and hardly let me play any tv above a whisper volume was at 8 and I was demanded to turn it lower as a partial deaf woman that's is hardly fair as I couldn't hear at the current volume to which I obliged to them and turned it down. Upon my departure from the hospital my son lost his pacifier and I asked if he could have another to which I was told no .the nurses on the maternity floor are rude and disrespectful to new moms all the other cooper locations are great only part that sucks is the maternity floor .
There is absolutely zero compassion or care for patients’ families. You kick people out of waiting rooms with no explanations. You are rude and uncooperative when it comes to who can visit and where people CAN wait for their families. I have never been treated with more disrespect than dealing with ur hospital staff and security in the ER. I understand there are rules and regulations for a reason, but if you are going to enforce them don’t treat people like garbage. You need to train your staff to be far more caring and compassionate as Hospital trips ESPECIALLY ER trips can be outstandingly stressful and your staff having blatant disregard for anyone except themselves just adds to the entire experience. You should be ashamed for how some of your staff treats people. Do better.
I had surgery on my kidney in 2019 to remove a tumor. After the surgery, my wound wouldn't close. I had several appointments with Dr T to follow up and try different "procedures" to fix the issue. In 2020, I was back again to get my gall bladder out. I arranged to have a plastic surgeon close the wound. Later, I found out the a stitch was left in me after a year and a half ! Shouldn't the doc have mentioned that?!?! As a patient, I trusted him and that was a terrible mistake. I will never let him put hands on me again. After all this time, I am still so angry. I should also mention that all of the other docs and nurses have been supportive and helpful. I will just have to find a new kidney doc.
I have been in and out of many hospitals this past year. Cooper in my opinion exceeded them all. Good care. And the nurses and doctors really listen and care. I am so appreciative of the quality of care I receive. Dr Kwiatt is an exception surgeon and Dr Tara Lautenslager is wonderful and listens well indeed. Never once have I felt less than or I didn't matter under their care and the nursing care.
I only gave this place a 2 star rating, because some people in this place do actually care about their patients, and do show compassion. However, my last few trips to this hospital have not been good experiences. It's very frustrating, because I feel as though this hospital is a great place, and I have had my care here for a long time Since my last few trips: I am very hesitant about going back to this hospital for any of my care.
